I purchased the Black 12 in Phoenix last week and had it shipped to my home.
This is easily my favorite paint scheme of the bunch. The browns, greens and greys on the fuselage are applied in a realistic, haphazard fashion and convey a sense of the urgency of Germany's war situation at that time. Rushed production was the norm, fine workmanship had gone by the wayside. The fuselage on this plane looks rough, just the way these planes look in the photos I've seen.

"Blue 12" originally came from the prototype that showed up a toyshow last year.. It had a "BLUE" 12 on the side.. Obviously, 21st researched this better and realized that it should have been "BLACK".. They made the change on the production piece..centone wrote:I'm wondering where "blue 12" came from since in most of the photos/profiles I've seen it's "black 12". These were covering up the entire S.E. from ATL up to VA the past few weeks and I'd say about 95% of them were perfect, crisp paint details and nice panel fits. Maybe the batch that hit the S.E. was pre-factory fire and the ones just now hitting out west are post-factory fire? All the trop 109E's and Kepford Corsairs looked excellent as well. Keeping my fingers crossed that the Marines aren't another QC issue.
