Thanks for the intel. Sorry if this is true. I'm sure the T-birds themselves would of bought a big supply of the planes themselves!

BBI F-16 Thunderbird
I hope somebody does the T-birds. I'm surprised the Blue Angel F18 isn't a good seller.
If all goes well I plan to get 3 or 5 F18s in a couple weeks. I just went to Pensacola last week and they have the 4 ship diamond of Skyhawks there. I'd like to recreate that with the F18s. Nice museum I'd recommend it.

Thats too bad for the BBI Thunderbirds F-16 and for the fact that the Blue Angels plane didn't sell well. Still, it doesn't surprise me. Though I am a diehard fan of both squadrons, if I could only choose between, say a "Golden Dragons" F-18 and a "Blue Angels" F-18 I'd probably go with the "Golden Dragons" version. This is simply because it has all the ordinance accessories and is a more representative of a standard F-18 that one would see in action and so on.
Average consumers, assuming that they really justify the need for one of these big toys, can reasonably put out enough cash to purchase only one, and they would probably go with a normal one that has all the bells and whistles. Though there are a number of us collectors that get multiple paintschemes of big expensive planes, we are in a minority and do not provide a secure enough source of profit for manufactures to justify making a very few select items for us, generally speaking.

I'm a huge huge Blue Angel fan, so I nerviously was waiting till the right time to buy one... and let me tell you all I'm glad I did. It looks awesome hanging next to the Golden Dragon F-18. If I could afford a 4 ship diamond or 6 ship delta, I'd JUMP at the chance. It's too bad it isn't selling well, whoever maybe that means he'll lower the prices?
