Anyone know where the cannon muzzle port is on the F/A-18 Hornet? Thanks to a fighter plane book I got with cut-away diagrams of each plane, I do now. Neener Neener Neener!
Hint: it's in a very prominent place, but not where you'd expect. The BBI F/A-18 has it faithfully reproduced (more or less).

It's on the top of the nose isn't it?

Aferguson: Damn, you're no fun! You got it on the first try! Correctomundo! I was looking for the cannon port on the port or starboard wing root, where it is on the F-15 and 16, but it is indeed on the centerline of the nose, flanked by two gas ports. Come to think of it, I think the F-14's gun muzzle port is on the port side of the fuselage, down low. I suppose having your cannon bang on the midline makes for better bore-sighting! Anyway, I bet getting hit by a burst of 20mm slugs from one of those six-barreled beauties must kind of smart!
