I was thinking more from the irony of several peoople I have seen on disability for things that really make me wonder how it qualifies as a disability... They collect their disability checks, and live a very active and productive life with their own cash businesses. Which makes me wonder why it is so hard for someone who really needs the help to get it.

And then there's Jason, torturing all these people with OCGD (Obsessive Compulsive Guessing Disorder)... I think that's against the Geneva Conventions... :D

Jason,

Maybe you should rescind your offer for a free bird to the one who guess it until closer to toy fair. Don't want to get us all too excited too early

G'day Pierce

Yes the Komet has been mentioned (by me in fact).

However Jason has reiterated to us that the object of this task (I was going to say game, but games are not this hard) is not to guess the aircraft ID as most of us including myself have tried to do, but to find and post here his veiled clue to the ID of the next aircraft that is buried in one of his posts as per the hints below.

1. I did give you the name of the next aircraft in a post awhile back. It was stated outside of my list of aircraft. The hint is buried in the post itself. I would be very impressed if you can find the hint.

2. The hint is three words.

3. The aircraft is one name(ish). (I would not put too much weight on this hint. It is not that reliable.)

Jason will then contact the first person who has correctly found and posted the hint here by PM but not until one week out from the NY toy fair early next year.

Pierce please do not in any way think that I am having a go at you personally, for as I have stated above I am just as guilty in making blind guesses as anybody in fact the Me 163 was one such blind guess, I am only simply trying to get this thread back on track.

PS. I am secretly hoping that among a few others that have been mentioned that the Komet might actually be it, at least then there would be two of us that want this one

No biggie, I actually missed the reply by Jason. That's why I was still guessing. I'm glad someone guessed the Aircraft. We'll have to wait to see what it is. Have a good one. And good luck!

Spud---I am with you on the Komet. These companies look for a cool factor to seel aircraft. What is more cool than a rocket plane? There are a number of neat subjects still left from WWII that either of these companies could make. I am excited.

BTW--Wasn't there a post a while back where Jason mentioned civil aviation? With that being said and the whole one-nameish aspect of the game, I than that the Piper Cub or its military designation of grasshopper is a good guess. I know others have said it. I am just not patient enough to go through the posts and find the exact quotation.

From a post dated Sun Dec 03, 2006 2:34 pm by Jason of Admiral Toys:

...thank you for your kind words regarding the ME 262. We are pleased with the way it turned out. But “I” think the next aircraft is even nicer!!

Why is the "I" in quotes? That is odd. So here's my off the wall guess(es) based on Jason saying the clue was three words:

Take the phrase 'But "I" think' and assign a number value to each letter based on its position in the alphabet.

So B(2) U(21) T(20)=43 and T(20) H {8} I(9) N(14) K(11)=62
62+43 = 105, or the F-105. The I is perhaps a variant or stands for Interceptor. Well, I don't think there was an I variant and I don't think it was an interceptor; so much for that.

-OR-

Using the same setup as above, take B's position in the alphabet (2) and the sum of the letters of "THINK" to get a 2 and a 62, or 262. The "I" is a synonym for "me" or Me, making Me-262. The remaining letters pertain to its variant - multiple variants having the U designation and the T perhaps referring to trainer - so it's a two-seat trainer Me-262 (Jason said Admiral had no previous intention of making the two-seat nightfighter, but not a trainer!).

-OR- "I" refers to roman numeral 1. So "I" + THINK makes 1 + 62 or the He-162, which would be really cool!

-OR- "I" is some hint at something else. Eye? Aye?

-OR- you could probably take any three words from any of his posts and using my crazy methods come up with just about anything! Well, if nothing else I entertained myself for awhile with all this.

A long time ago I mentioned the possibility of a lesser known yet possibly popular aircraft to Jason. It was a P-39 or Hurricane. He replied with something like "Jericoeagle1, you might be on to something."

So my official guess is a P-39.

Pokeyjtc and Doctodd, unfortunately the 262 will not be for sale at the Wings Over Houston Airshow. We will have a production sample there for your viewing. Bring you camera again and you can take some photos.

VMF115, I apologize for our lack of communication regarding new releases. Every time we release information about a model someone comes from behind and makes the same model. Showing our hand allows for the competition to add details that we did not provide or improve the model in certain ways. I promise we could make the best P-51 or F-4U imaginable if we had 3 months to look at the competition’s model before ours went into tooling. It is very, very easy to improve a model that is already on market or talked about. The days of forecasting models and their details are over. Do not blame our company; we tried to get cooperation between the manufacturers. You will have to wait for information, unless someone produces a model we intended to produce; then you will see information regarding our model.

On your second question: “Without risk there is no gain.” You said it yourself and it is correct. However, the risk is not that high. If you go to China and see how their economy is thriving because of their international contracts, you too would find comfort in the fact that China is very happy with there foreign relationships. China works very closely with the US and other countries in the manufacturing sector. We have seen no rumblings of policy change. We could afford to produce these models in the US but the average customer would not be able to afford it. So we need China and this market needs China.

Regards,
Jason

A P-51 and F-4U from Admiral?

they are the workhorse for BBI and 21st so why not.

parrish333,

I like the way you think. So much so, that I am going to campaign for each of your aircraft to be produced. However, on a serious note, you may just be on to something.

For all, the "I" is in quotes because I will not speak for everyone in the company on such a subjective opinion.

For VMF115, you asked a few days ago if it was an aircraft that you all have wanted. We hope so. Good sales encourage growth.

Regards,
Jason
