Don't lose that antennae!

 I didn't notice it missing!! I gotta check now...

I lucked out and found it in the tissue. Thanks for the heads-up!

"Any one know what the exact brown color is on the AT me-262."

Not sure exactly what it is you are asking but the colour was called 'brown-violet' and was, as implied, a brown with a purplish hint to it.

Got mine yesterday and unpacked it this AM. Just an amazing plane. Of course coming from me, whose airforce consists of one other plane (Stuka), that's not saying much, but it is very nicely done.

As usual, with my fat fingers trying to insert the first of two tiny little wing retaining screws, of course, it fell out and disappeared on the floor, among paper and packing and interior and exterior boxes laying around. After 20 minutes crawling around befor I find it and in searching, I found this three inch piece of plastic on the floor, the same color as the plane. Antenna? Me thinks? I look around the top and no holes?....So being not the average bunny, I put it aside and blam, you guys help me out, antenna under the body.....wow.

As had been said, my only minor complaint is no instructions for fat fingered guys who normally don't play with planes.

Admiral has my vote for great 1/18 toys.

Great to hear such good reviews about this plane! It is also kind of funny that all you people from the mid-west to east coast that ordered the plane via UPS have gotten their plane first! Still eagerly awaiting mine and it should come tomorrow... The delivery was rescheduled from Tues to Thurs and my package is currently in San Pablo Ca, where it has sat since since Sunday

Oh well, at least its coming! That is the beauty of ordering online and not having to chase items down at Wal Mart :D

Received mine today! Simply fantastic! Another Home Run Admiral!
The coloration of the internal machine guns looks great, better than any I've seen so far. I love this hobby! :D

UPS just dropped mine off :D :D :D

A big "BZ" to Admiral Toys!!! All I have left to do is put the swastikas on the tail and put in the radio antenna. I'm thinking of making a round aerial (like on the 21C FW-190D) instead of using the straight antenna. Most of the pictures I've seen have the round type in place.

I've got all of my planes hanging from the ceiling, but I wish I had a spot to put this one wheels down (maybe for a few days on my desk  )

To all that have left a review on this site or shown approval of the Admiral Toys’ ME 262, thank you. We are very pleased with the reception of this model. We feel bad for those that have not received their model. Thanksgiving week was not the best week for shipping; packages have been delayed and re-routed to all parts of the world. But have no doubt that the models are on their way to you and your retailers.

I have noticed the question regarding the paint codes for the brown coloration on the ME 262. The true ME 262 used a color called RLM 81 Braunviolett, which is FS 30099/30118. However, that being said, our model is painted with Pantone Black 5 U. Pantone is the leading paint system in the world and extensively used by the finest artist to obtain the cleanest and clearest paint colorations for printing and other paint applications. We matched the RLM 81 to the Black 5 U for this model. All of our models have been painted using Pantone paint combinations. You don’t just buy Black 5 U on the market. It is blended using a measured amount of “true black,” red, white and various other colors which I have already forgotten, the paint was finalized several months ago. Sorry if this is absolutely no help to any of you. Just wanted to clear up the actual color we used for this model.

Regards,
Jason

This is our second aircraft. Its design and master model were completed long before we started trying some new things in detail and design. Just wait until you see our next aircraft. We have really improved our design and detail. You will not be disappointed. The International Toy Fair is not far off. You will see what we have been up to at that time. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Jason:

You mention the International Toy Fair. Do you mean the Toy Fair in NYC, on 2/11-14/07 at the Javits Center?

Wow--I can't wait to see what you have in store, Jason. I really love this 262. I think 21st would be hard pressed to top this. I have yet to compare F86 to F86. But, Admirable is doing a top notch job.

Just got mine yesterday..

IMHO, hands down the 262 is by far the best plane made in 1/18th scale to date.

I've not had a better time assembling and discovering all the little details..

My pitot tube was in the same chamber as the pilot, screws and screwhole covers.

The snap and fit of the wings to the main body was a breeze!

The gun bays were a great addition and the little props to keep them open for maintenance are a perfect touch.

Including the swastikas was right on as well. I will not apply mine but to have them available for those that want that level of accuracy or detail is very thoughtful!

Can't say enough about the antenna(s) and wiring.. I'm surprised how much realism this little addition creates. The setup is much sturdier than other planes that tried this have a achieved.

Someone else said it, but the tires look great with actual tread! Again, nice surprise!

Paint scheme and quality is excellent.. The thing looks gorgeous just sitting still! :)

The detailed interiors of the nacelles is also a huge improvement over the Sabre intake..

You get the general idea.. I'm smitten with this one! :D

Bravo AT, Bravo!!

I told you guys that this aircraft would 'wow-you' once you saw it! Quoting Nacho Libre, AT, "taakes it to the nexxt level!"
I can not wait for what AT has next for us! We should start a new thread on this subject and name it "AT upcoming aircraft"
