Happy Mig-15/Sabre buyer story with question????

Post by longrifle » Sun Nov 05, 2006 4:21 pm

Would you know, I watched the MIG ALLEY show on the History Channel last night, got up the next day, wife wanted to go to Wally World to get some XMAS decorations. Get there, as usual I have to go with my 8 yr. old girl to the toy department, so just for the heck of it I look to see if there is any 21st Century aircraft, and low and behold, I see a shelf full of Mig-15's (N.Korean scheme)I am in MIG ALLEY at WALLY WORLD. Look at it real hard and say to my self, GOTTA HAVE IT!!!! walk down the isle and over to the next isle, i see out of the corner of my eye MORE 21st aircraft. I thought, hmmmm wonder why they have them on two seperate isles, anyway I drag my daughter to see what they are....and guess what I see 5 Avengers, and 6 Sabres. Well, since I got the MIG, I have to have a Sabre too. So I walk out of Wally World, with 2 large boxes, me carrying one and my little girl carrying one(she liked the American plane) as she said it. Got home opened em up, and put them together. All I could say was WOW!!!!!! there are my first 21st jet aircraft, and I am VERY impressed with both.
Now my question to all the boys and girls here is:
When is the scheme 3 version of the MIG-15 coming out(Russian Air Force), I really want one badly!!!!! If anyone knows where I can get one, I would gladly pay them to get me one.

I just hope now that I see a Mig-21 in the near future. Its not too much bigger than the 15, and very similar in size to the F-104.
So I speculate we may see one, especally if 21st is talking abut an F4 Phantom.
After all the Mig-21 is the most produced jet fighter aircraft in history, so it would make sense that 21st shoud make one. Think of all the schemes with that one.............

That's a VERY cool find! Why can't the Wal Marts in my area be stocked all at once with Avengers, Migs, and Sabers? Oh well, Chinese Migs did show up and there was once one Avenger. A couple local stores did get the new armor, however!

Lucky you!! I have not seen the mig nor sabre in person yet. Heh I don't mind a fishbed as long as 21st makes a phantom or crusader to tango with it.

Good to see someone else touting the MiG-21! Although, to be honest, I'm tilting towards 21C putting the effort to getting out a MiG-17. Would be just as good accompaning a F4, and they have a good starting point with the Mig-15 (yes, there are some significant differences, but we can hope).

And I wish you luck now. I remember buying my first plane - your on the long, dark road now.

Hi all. I am now officially addicted to 1/18 scale aircraft (as if Star Wars, GI Joe, and 1/72 scale soldiers wasn't enough) thanks to the 21st Century Toys Avenger. My jaw dropped when I saw it in the Wallyworld toy aisle. I knew right away that I had to buy it or it would be gone forever. Judging from the posts on this forum I'd venture to say that I was right.

I could kick myself because I saw the Mig at Wallyworld last week and passed because of my prop plan WW2 bias. Well, now that I have seen Mig Alley that bias is gone and I am obsessed with bagging my Mig/Sabre prey.

Migs and Sabres

Post by longrifle » Wed Nov 08, 2006 6:03 am

Well I go back to the same WalMart where I found my Mig and Sabre the next day, and ALL the Sabres were gone, but they still had 2 more NKorean marked Mig's so I snatched those up, now the shelves are empty...thanks to me...there were sill 2 Avenger left though, one had alot of damadge to it, but nothing that couldnt be fixed.

AGAIN--- Is schemes S2 and S3 out yet and if so, where? Are they being sold in WalMarts or small retailers????

Migs are addictive, I am getting ready to do some MAJOR customizing on 4 of mine, got alot of work ahead of me.The Migs have major custmizing potential. I am really impressed with the Migs and the Sabres. Again, my hats off to 21st for these 2 fine aircraft.
