Hey Nathanita, is that your kids room or is it really your room?
It looks great. Maybe you can post on the custom forum and explain to us how you did it. I painted my basement sky blue last year, I just have to paint the clouds.

Go to www.airliners.net and type in Avenger. They have lots of great pictures of Avengers in British schemes. When you get on the site, click on the "Take me to the photo search page". Then just type in Avenger.

I checked out six WM's in Columbus, Ohio: no Avengers. But I did notice the aforementioned disarray in the toy departments. I noticed a few stores had shelving plans taped up; one of the plans had a section for "1:18 airplanes".

I also checked a WM in Greenfield IN, again no Avengers.

Good morning; As of 10:00am this morning the Super Walmart in Monroe , N.Y. had 7 Avengers on the top shelf of the toy isle. This is the Harriman exit #16 on the N.Y. Thruway in Orange County . This is also the Woodbury Commons exit. They also had the 1/32 2 packs of WWII fighters and some BOB II troops. Have fun. Bob

Jimbob, keep an eye on those stores if you can.. it means that the appearance of these is not far off, although you can't be sure what exactly they will be, keep your fingers crossed for an Avenger if that's what you are looking for. Like Forrest Gump said.. "life is like a box of chocolates, ya never know whatcha gonna git" Good luck.

Does anyone know why on the Atlantic version of the Avenger the prop blades where they come out of the prop hub are painted white? :?:

Probably for camouflage reasons.

Saw two of these at a local WM the other night. Looks good.

Ooooh! So close and yet so far! :?

Returning to my AO from my trip and I checked at a nearby (25 miles-Rolla, MO) WM: first I see new Corsairs, Stukas, and the 1:32 dogfight sets. Lookin' good so far. Then I spy a big empty spot on the shelf with the shelf price marker showing $69.95 -- Avenger!!. The clerk scanned the tag and said that they had 8 somewhere, but he didn't know where. I looked all through the toy section and the gardening section where they had some toys on skids. No luck! I'll go back later this week. Oh...but the joy of the hunt!

Also, Scott, thanks for the tip about the shelf plans. I'm going back to Columbus in two weeks and will check back there if I come up empty here.

JimBob55,
If you go back to that WM, ask a clerk to scan the tag on the shelf. Ask them to look in the back to see if they have them in a bin, if they show up as actually being there in the store.
Good luck!

Remember the Pet section! There has been at least one recon of near the dog beds (seriously)!
They could be anywhere.

I am getting good at knowing where things are at Walmart. Part of my AWD therapy is to walk the aisles of the store saying: " I will find and Avenger, I will find an Avenger". :D :D :D :D :D

Its true as Digger said, I did, in fact, find my Avengers in the Pet Section right next to the Dog Beds.
