ME-109 at Walmart, I think

Post by Morian Miner » Tue Dec 21, 2004 9:33 pm

I've not been paying too much attention, and I was half-awake this morning, so I may be mistaken. But, I think I saw two ME-109s at Walmart today along with two P47s and two FW-190s in the new blue box up on a shelf. I am certain the box said ME-109, but when I looked on Bad Cat, I didn't see an airplane that looked like what I saw. If I can, I will try to confirm this later in the week. I'm pretty certain it wasn't a BF-109.

What you probably saw as ME-109's at WM are true. They are starting to show up on the shelves now. I recently saw the tropical and Galland versions of the 109's in 21st packaging at one of my local WM's.

I was at my local WalMart in Bellingham yesterday and got to see what was coming off the containers. There were four Bubbletops and four 109's in 21st boxes. The 109's looked like the first ones that came out (they still had some of the shelf in Motorworks boxes), and the Bubbletops were the Michelson version, which I took one of. The paint jobs on the 47's are not too good, I earlier received a Eileen from BCA and they paint on that one left a lot to be desired. Looks like 21st is having a bad quality control day on these, or they were in a hurry to get these out for Christmas.

I have seen the black nightfighter and tropical 109 at my stores here. No bubbletops yet.

These are not 109Gs at WM, I take it?

That would be exciting.
