Whats your dream 1:18 item?

Post by bird » Sat Jul 15, 2006 4:32 am

I read somewhere that 21c once proposed a bigboys line, this and a few other recent threads about the wish for a C-47 & a A-10 got me thinking of what would be the ultimate 1:18 scale stuff they could make.
So if you had the chance to build something cool and you could ask 21c, BBi & Admiral Toys to build it for you, what would you ask for? Think big! and you can list more than one :)

First off, i'd like to see some bombers made, Lancaster, B-17, Heinkel, as well as some fighters Hawker Hurricane especially.
Some ships, impossible but hey... the Bismarck, hell why not u-Boats, in 1:18 it'd be massive, though i'd still love to see it.
There's so much military hardware from ww2 that could be built as 1:18. Not to mention the figs, heroes and famous leaders, soldiers of other nations, Brits, Russians, dare I say Aussies? c'mon!!!

Well, this isn't big, but it's'big' for me...and I've talked about this before (alot) but...I'd LOVE for better articulated figures, like those of PTE, equipment that wouldn't keep popping OUT of those holes, and most importantly, figures that can FIT and SIT in vehicles!!! If you have a 1:18 figure, it SHOULD be able to fit and sit in a 1:18 vehicle!!!!

In no particular order, I would like the following...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:T72_Georgia.jpg
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ ... 551_1a.jpg
Now, I'm not naive enough to believe we will ever see the Russian stuff, the Manufacturers seem to avoid it like the plague, and the fan base does not seem all that interested either. The M551 is probably much more likely, but still a long shot. Oh well, I can dream can't I??

Ost,

I'm with you on the Russian stuff. Either WWII Russian items like T-34s, Stalins, Katyushas, crew and ground troops and/or the cold war Soviet stuff used by Iraq, former block countries, etc.. ZSU's, T-72s, BMPs, etc..

Almost unlimited customs from the Soviet stuff since it served in so many countries in so many conflicts.

I'm hoping at least one of the new upcoming figures is wearing a red star.

But if I had to go big boy, I'd put my vote behind the suggestion I saw in a thread a while back on a modular B-17. At least three modules, front (cockpit, pilots, nose gunner, etc..), middle (bombadier, bombs, belly gunner) and a tail section (gunners).

I would love a Mig 29 or Su-30 to go up against my F-18 & F-16.
We've already got the battle of Britian, how about the battle of the Balkans!

Forget an Avenger, that's a myth. Didn't I see that on the "Myth busters" show.....that 21C would make one. :?

In 1/18, I'd like to see:

M-4 High Speed Tractor pullimg a 155mm Long Tom or 8" Howitzer .
88mm AA being pulled by the giant German Half Track
40mm Borfors being pulled by a 2.5 ton CCKW
DUKW
The big NO Mack to pull a tank retriever trailer.
Dragon Wagon puling the same tank retriever trailer.

B-25, B-26, Mosquito.

That will due me for a while.

TTT
Sometimes I am the windshield, sometimes, I am the bug.

I could one day see giving up the vehicles and AC, but never the figures so that's what I'm wishing for. Brits & Russians of the caliber of the latest bbi & 21C figs. US & German guys that don't look like they just put their uniform on for the first time and guys with varying accessories. Just think 1/6 - every type of figure, weapon and piece of kit under the sun. Then you start bashing and you have real Armies.. 8)

I want to see a su-27 in 1:18. just something about that bird i really like.

Id like an earlier model fw-190, even thougfh thats semi redundant

Any WWI aircraft would be cool.

would like to see a J-3 or atleast an L-4 just because it would be cool in the scale. would have to come with a fully articulated pilot who could properly sit in it

In the way of armor, id like a Leopard 2

Also cant go wrong with trucks duece and a half, 5 ton, whatever, theyre all cool

one of my coworkers looking over my shoulder just said hed buy a t-32 if someone made one

a boxed set of like the cast from blackhawk down or saving private ryan would be awsome as long as im dreaming

im sure theres alot of other things that would be cool, but thats off the top of my head.

My singular humble wish is for a Fw 190A.

It's beyond belief that this all-time WWII CLASSIC is still unrealized.

I'd like to see the TA-183. More realistically, a Mosquito or a B-25. My ultimate dream aircraft, however, is the Avenger

I don' thitnk I could single out one item as the most desired. There is so much out there that I want. Everything from the smallies like a Kettenkrad, the average like a P-39 Aircobra, to biggies like a B-25 or B-26, on down to the odd like a Me-163 Komet or a Calliopie Sherman. All are very cool and I just can't pick one. Let's Hope that we stay around long enough to see it all.
