We finally got the new mutts and both halftracks- if the German halftrack had been a pioneerwagon, I would have bought it; sometimes the repaints really begin to look alike...

Still laying around are P-51 ridgerunners, seeman 109s, Bunker hill corsairs, desert stukas, german 104s, and a pitiful gaggle of black 109s.

Has anyone ever seen a "Flying Undertaker" P-51 in a Walmart?

No. They are at small retailers. I saw t was marked down to 45 at Militarytoyshop for 4th of July sale - don't know if that is still the price.

I was in the Branson Mo. area yesterday and saw the following for those interested. At the West Branson Walmart on Highway 13 they had two each of the Desert Stuka's and the new Corsair's. At the Walmart south of Springfield Mo. on Hwy 13, they also had two Stuka's and one of the Corsairs.

Welcome to the board! Some interesting finds there. It's funny to see a P-47 still on the shelves after all of this time.... :?

Just returned from a week vacation
the busy walmart in Destin Florida did not have much
exept on a bottom shelf i found the new green patton tank in a crushed box.
the tank looks great - no figure with a price of $39.99 "so it is good to go..."

but I was on vacation and had to leave it for the next person. then again it may have been 29.99 i cant remember.

GOOD LORD--thanks to all the old posters and new members in Georgia, , I think I can finally rely more on comments from local members about when to expect to find new arrivals in my area. Five years of thinking my 535i only gets 15 mpg; conveniently ignorant of the lunch hour and after work stops at nearby walmarts. More input and members are a wonderful thing-

Hmmm.. more members, same supply of product-

Hell with the gas mileage..

Lets see...

Post by lablksmith » Fri Jul 14, 2006 7:06 am

Let me figure this out...

Two new half tracks @ lets say $25 each. Will want 3 of each thats $150
Then repaints that $150 more.

18 new figures usually get a least 5 each, thats only $90 so can get 10 more thats about $140,

Then pak 40s will need 4 @ 25 each thats another $100 repaints $100 so lets see... taxes $760. hmmm... better start saving...life is good...

Actually I do keep track, I have lists of all my toys except for star war figures.

I spent approx $6000 on toys last year, XD, 1/18, Matchbox, JL, SW etc...
Going off credit card and atm receipts.

This year I am keeping a more accurate spending track, after each purchase I enter the model on the list and cost. I want to cut down by half this year.

I'm at $2795.95 so far this year. I don't think I will make it with all the new stuff coming out :D

Dave

Razor I haven't forgotton about the M-48 I should get an accurate weight this weekend.

Holy Toledo Batman, that's some serious "disposable income"!! I can only dream of forking out that kind of scratch on what my wife considers "toys"....ah well, the joys of matrimony. BTW, what warehouse do you keep all that stuff in??

What Korean plane? Now that needs a warehouse/ hanger.

1/18 scale Vette? :D

"disposable income" It's my retirement fund! No wife, no kids, no pets, just the house, my 8-5 job and toys. My side business pays for the extras.

You know I have kept receipts for the last several years of my toy expenditures but have not been brave enough to calculate the expense. I would like to hear more detail on this Korean War airplane that you have KAGNEW. By the way I saw several 1:18 planes at WM in College Station Yesterday. Tropical Stuka, 2 FW -190's, 2 Seeman 109G's, & 1 Winter Me 109 w/ torn up box and missing parts.

Four of the local Walmarts have received a box containing the two mutts, green us halftrack and german halftrack repaints on display- each store receives one box, it looks like.

So, anyday now will we see the 21st Mig 15 and F-86s as well as the Avengers? Hijacked from the small internet retailers or not, I hope we will see these on Walmarts shelves soon.

i sometimes wish it was a 1/18 Vette  but it ia a bright red 2006 cop bait money pit
war bird is in hanger at local airport. its a L-17C but you would know it as a North American/Ryan Navion. just this one was made for military and looking at logs had low time airframe before they crated it.
we now have it air worthy.we hope to have FAA inspections/stickers all done by 08/01/06.
also went to 2 Walmarts yesterday
Culpeper had an all black 1/18 RC APC, i never saw one of these before :?: also about 75 1/144 tanks
