WM in Plano, TX must be getting ready for a German version of the 4th of July. Three 109's that have been there for over a month are now accompanied by two 104's in German markings.

I understand the Wal-Mart on Lynnhaven Pkwy. (near Mall) in Virginia Beach, Va. has the RADIO CONTROLED "M113A2 APC" marked clearance @ $40.00 (Big Wup), but it scans $19!

Wish the WM @ Nimmo would follow suit with their stockpile!

Nothing new at the WMs in Painted Post or Elmira NY today. Waiting for the M48 to show up.

Found two "Seeman" ME-109Gs at a Fresno, Ca. Wal Mart today. I almost walked out with one, but need to save space for future releases. There was no sign of the German F-104s, however.

I'm really not concerned about the planes its just that I can't believe that it took something this long to cross the country east to west. The 32x planes went faster the other way! C'mon Wal Mart, you're not shipping things across the ocean, or across the steppes to Siberia for that matter

I saw a Stuka in desert camo (XD) along with a Bunker Hill F4U-1A Corsair, both looker very nice and 2 German F-104's. Some 1/32nd armor and aircraft which does not seem to be selling and the same 20 or so Japanese, OMG figures that have been hanging there since April. :?

I went to Wal-Mart here yesterday. Lots of the 32nd scale Zeros. Four 1:18th scale BF-109s, and one German F-104.

Exactly why to concentrate on a few scales, not all of them. Every walmart I go to has tons of 1/32 stuff setting there.

If they were metal there would be more interest I think.

Also 1/32 scale is just too close to 1/35 and you can get just about any armor or truck vehicle in 1/35 kit form.

Anybody actually "felt" any metal on this sucker or are we going on conjecture? Thanks for any guidance.
Yep, I can confirm.... basically similar in weight and feel to the Desert Bradley. Have not put this baby on a scale or taken it out of the box, but it has a "hefty" feel to it. My assumption is that this is a plastic/steel hybrid like all the "cold steel" stuff. Franky, I can't see what all the "hubbubb" is about... I mean it's a nice looking tank and all, I just wish they would release one in 32X..... sigh...not likely I guess.

The "hubbubb" is that it was a TRU phantom, you only see it once on the shelf and wisp it's gone.

Hmmm......interesting. I've only been collecting 21st Century seriously now for less than a year, but the TRU stores in the greater Baltimore/Washington DC metro area do not carry 21C products period, and the same goes for Target stores, zero, zilch, nada!! I mean nothing.... they simply don't carry it, and WM is the only remaining choice outside of a few "hobby type" stores whose prices border on the ridiculous side. I wonder if this is a regional phenomenon, or is this nationwide??

Nationwide. TRU hasn't had 21C stuff for years now it seems. Walmart or online stores.

I haven't seen any local hobby shops carry 21C stuff. However my dad did say he saw the BBI green Zero in his favorite hobby shop in pensacola.

I would like to send him the avenger.

Oh, and who is going to be the first to find a box of 21st avengers that slipped through 21st's noose to be accidentally shipped and put on the shelves???

Don't have the Ridgerunner P-51s yet here at the WMs in the west

I think the midwest & east coast will get the new vehicles first, though it had better be the Pioneerwagon and an aircraft repaint, with the M-16s & Avengers going to the west

Spotted the new tow missle and tactical jeeps. They looked awful small in those large boxes. Seems like a waste of packaging. They looked so much better in those smaller boxes when they first came out. Also doesn't look right without a figure inside the drivers seat.

Just picked up one of the re-released Pattons. I'm quite pleased with the diecast hull. My only fuss is the less-than-durable .50 cal mount on top of the Commander's cupola. It broke off as I tried to unwrap it and am currently trying to get it glued back on. Other than that I'm happy with it. :D

The Kansas City metro area hasn't received any of the ridgerunner, sorsair or desert stuka. At this rate I don't expect the M16 till Christmas.

The WM thread and 21c thread seem redundant to me. So i'm closing this WM thread. Please use the 21c one from now on to post 21c WM finds and general 21c discussion....of which we'll have quite a few in the upcoming months. :)

The more major releases will get their own sticky's for a while.
