If you guys look at the pics you can see the interior has at least a rack of the "tombstone" .50 cal ammo containers, maybe more. Not much room for crew outside of a couple of loaders besides the gunner and driver.

They certinally didn't go "cheap" on this one, I won't complain about a lack of crew if the usual 21C detail is there. I'll crew it myself. :P

Now about this M-7 Priest... ........

I love the idea of an M-10 but that would mean changes in the entire body as well as the turret. I have one in 1/6 (not finished) and it is a terrific vehicle.

Given the choice, I vote for a M-7 Priest or more versions of the half-track (81mm Mortar, 75mm Anti-tank, 105mm or the M-15 combination of 37mm AA w/2 .50 cals). Biut for now I'll take the two new half-tracks (US & German) & I'll be happy. 8)

Damn I was hoping for a P-51B or a Hellcat. Oh well the wait continues.

I wouldn't be checking Area 21 for either one of those. You will continue to be dissappointed.

Vehicles is what we need

We don need no more stinkeen planes.

You guys kill me with your whines for a P-51a to z, whatever, and us ground guys, just sit around with our fingers........never mind where.....humming our songs, nice as pie waiting for more crumbs and you guys have it all. By all rights we should have a new (or redone) vehicle released for each new (or redone) plane. That would be fair. but will that happen? No.

So let us be happy and we'll all just wait for the next release, whatever it is or maybe we'll just hear about more delays on the Avenger 8) W hat's the latest new on that, Christmas of what year? I'll just be happy waiting for my KT while I put my 1/6 hat back on and continue playing...

BBI is making the Hellcat, they have showed it a couple of times. Just no idea when it is coming, though it could be soon. I assume the folding wings are the hold up as I'm sure they're a pain (21st could likely attest). Maybe after the Avenger comes out bbi can get a first hand look at how to get the wings to work and the Hellcat will follow.

Uhmm cant they just look at the full size plane wing pivoting mech and design something similar in miniature?

How did Revell makes theirs on their 1/32 wildcat model. Yeah I had just about all the Revell models. Wish I had them now (unbuilt)

I don't know. I guess easier said than done. Also I am sure the real one involved steel and constant maintenance, 2 things rare in our 1:18 world.

I'm a little concerned that these folding wing mechanisims are going to be a little fragilie on these models
I'm sure the companies are too - and I think this is a lot of the reason for early delays in the Avenger (later delays are anybody's guess), and the heretofore absence of the Hellcat. I know the 21st Corsair folding wings are fragile, and that is a simpler mechanism than on the Hellcat and Avenger.

Ok now that M-16 is cool. I have no problem with this addition to the line.

Well done 21st!

I love the quad gun mount - this makes sence in earlier posts we had been begging for this stuff i(small changes to the already made chasis)instead of the normal repaints.

I will be returning my boxed repaints for store credit. Saves room.

I feel the firefly comming.... maybe next.

AND LOGICALLY I SEE THESE QUADMOUNTS AND ANTITANK WEAPONS SOLD LOOSE WITH A FIGURE OR TWO.

we can start shooting down these plane repaints off the top walmart shelves.

I notice that the announcements are two weeks apart. I wonder if this will be a trend? :D

M16 Quad - is actually something we have been asking for in this forum - got to give them props for that.

I love the fact that the simple things are starting off this list of summer items - can't wait to see what they throw at us end of summer.

My collection is strictly 1:18 planes...up until now. That wicked M-16 quad mount could be my first armor purchase.
