Quite possibly that is exactly the reason that they *should*. However, 21st will readily tell you (and I don't dispute it) that planes sell better than armor - however, I think at some point they are going to "wear out" the planes a little bit and people are going to get hungry for more armor. Seems like that time might be near.

I hear you, but if you think about it there has not been a new plane from 21C in a year (excluding the Mustang, which is overlap). That is hardly wearing out the planes. I'm sure people would love a Hellcat, Macchi, Mossie, Typhoon, F4, etc...there are so many planes left to do and as you said the AC outsells the armor...
Hope this comment doesn't get people worked up - I'm an armor guy myself and would love nothing more than for all the companies to slow down with the planes and give us something land based. But there must be a rea$on they're making only planes..

I'm no expert on mold dynamics, but I would wager armor molds are more complex and detailed which adds to all around cost.

problably why BBI armor is less detailed than earlier 21c stuff.

I'm surprised that 21C hasn't worked a deal with trumpter to make armor molds in 1/18.

yep, its in the closet, still in the box. Surrounded by all the 21C stuff.

Everybody on here says the BBi armor stuff is less detailed than the 21C except for the BBi Sherman.

THE ONLY THING 21ST CENTURY IS PROBABLY HURTING FROM ARE THE rc TANKS AND APC
THOSE THINGS STILL SIT EVEN WHEN ON CLEARANCE - CAN'T GIVE THEM AWAY.

less detailed in what way? the BBI Sherman? Less detailed than early 21st stuff? You mean 21st's mythical Tiger, because no actual Tiger ever looked like that? 21st just threw a hodgepodge of various Tiger features ranging from initial to final production series. I'm all for details, but how about ACCURATE details for a change. Hell, I'm surprised 21st didn't add a hawk missile system on the turret roof of the Tiger to make it look even more spiffy!

Or you mean the 21st sherman, that's so simple looking, it doesn't even have a turret bottom? The BBI Sherman has less detail? How about 21st adding the "detail" of a turret bottom on their shermans! :D

Sorry to take a small detour, but which features on the Tiger are initial production?
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.
