I haven't seen these in the Pittsburgh PA area. I did notice the new Modern paratroopers though, and they look nice... I'm still hoping someday BBI does removable jump gear w/straps, not molded on, but not this time around.

Either way though, the new modern combat-ready guys look amazing... Must-haves. No sign of them or any WW2 Combat-Ready in the Pittsburgh area (still). I'm keeping my eyes peeled though, I must have these. :)

paras

Post by digger » Wed May 10, 2006 9:26 pm

Anyone know where to get the new paras online? I see they are unavailable at Foxhole, and most retailers aren't stocking them because of the moronic case breakdown. Thanks for any guidance.

I'll bet a complete set that the skn. same as the WWII Infantry (which they are packed with I believe), which was the same as the Special Weapons guys - go to Amazon and you can see it. 812083 or something. In other words, good luck tracking those down..

Chicagoland recon?

Post by mwanz » Fri May 12, 2006 10:43 am

I stopped at the N Riverside and Downers Grove TRU... Nothing new to speak of except the Old Crows.

Let me know if anyone else around CHICAGO has seen hide nor hair of the new ones.

Nope, nothing in Chicago area that I've seen

Post by parrish333 » Fri May 12, 2006 1:32 pm

I haven't checked extensively, but I haven't seen the new BBI stuff in my part of Chicagoland yet either.

My TRUs do eventually get the new stuff (unlike the new XD with WM which is a real crap shoot), but seems to be a bit behind the other regions.

TRU in MORROW/JONESBORO,GEORGIA had alot of WW2PARAS and MODERN PARAS--MODERN TROOPERS also had alot of 1/32stuff from FORCES OF VALOR---HELOS and TANKS!!!! They also had some FOV P51's and SPITFIRES ---not to sure of the scale --looked like 1/24 (bigger than 1/32) but not sure!!!! They also had about 5 or 6 1/18 LITTEL BIRDS from some company I'VE never seen before!!--Look good but had no weapons at all--came with 3 figs and was only $9.99 or so the price on the rack said???Might be worth looking into for you folks who like modern stuff. They also DIDN'T have anything from 21stC--NOTHING--!!! Hope this helps. ---RED---

I think those littlebirds are the Powerteam ones repacked as TRU's inhouse brand. I saw 2 other sets one had a Mutt and Zodiac raft and the other had the FAV/dune buggy thing. Those littlebirds don't look bad for 10 bucks, although the pilots would have to be replaced.

Has anyone found the 4 Modern Spec Ops figures @ TRU??

I have searched the 3 TRUs around my area.

-Kenwood, OH - None of the New 4 Modern Spec Ops figs
-Eastgate, OH - None of the New 4 Modern Spec Ops figs
-Florence, KY - None of the New 4 Modern Spec Ops figs

Sound off where and when you find these new figs!

Razor17019 ~ Did you try the Colerain Avenue Toys'R'Us in Cincy? I know when I lived in Cheviot, they always had tons of good stuff at that Toys'R'Us.
Aircraft? Bah, if man were meant to fly he'd have wings! Give me armor and lots of it.

No. I haven't been able to get up there. Far drive for me!
I wish I could call the TRUs in my area and ask them if they have these figures in, but none of the people there have a clue what you are talking about!!!!

TRU had new paratroops!

Post by parrish333 » Mon May 15, 2006 7:34 am

My TRU had the new modern paratroopers from BBI yesterday! I promptly snatched them up of course!

The two paratroopers are pretty much clones except for different heads, and a different gun (M60 vs. M4). Other than that the only differences are paint schemes.
