Lots of Ridge Runner P-51's have shown up at three area WM's. One store also has three 109's (all the same) and one Stuka.

Talked to someone restocking the toy shelves in one and they say they only get more when everything has sold out.

The newest super WM had nothing in the way of 1:18 airplaines and only a handful of ground stuff.

I just purchased the Hack, Seeman and Sahl BF 109G. they are really big difference then the E versions. The paint is fantastic too esp the Seeman version.

You hadn't gotten an XD ME-109G6 yet? The 109Gs are awesome - one of 21c best aircraft to date :D I have two, but have been tempted by the other schemes!

I went by one of the more productive walmarts in the area to look at some new items the desert stuka and the bunker corsair again; I already have the earlier stukas and corsairs- I just go to be tempted for the umpteenth time to see if I gotta have another repaint. Well- THEY WERE GONE!!!
I'm starting to think I am not only one of several XD collectors in the area, but one of 6-8 or more. (I have noticed more new member logins in the Atlanta area) which is good- more products moving providing newer ones being restocked.
From this store alone I can say that the following have already saturated their respective local market-- the ridge runner p-51, hackle and sahl, even the seeman, and german 104s are old news around here and so far are condemned to a long shelf life-whether one or more.

I am dumb struck:

Scouted a Wally in Perth Amboy, NJ, that never has more than a couple of 21C items and today they have:

1/18 -
Me 109G-6 - 3
F-104 - West German -2
Humvees - 2

1/32
Strumpanzer -4
Brummbar Sturmgeschotz IV -2
Macchi - 3

1/144
Box of all kinds of stuff

I'm impressed, that is tripple of their stock of 21C pieces. Hope that means good things for us.

I talked to a Walmart Toy Mgr today and he said that he had 2 Avengers this morning and someone had bought them both. Has anyone seen these yet? I am going to hit every Wallyworld in town tonight to see if I can locate a few. I didn't think the plane would be out untill the end of may! The guy knew what he was talking about and descibed the plane to me in detail. I'll let you guys know if this turns out to be a wild goose shase.

Keep your eyes peeled, those of you east of the continental divide :D Looks like it will be a long wait yet here in the west, though stranger things have happened...

I think you get the first glory of reporting an Avenger spotting, Kamikaze!

That Avenger news can't be right. We are pre-ordering Avengers for alot more and waiting for two years and Wally brings it out for $39.95?? :?

At that price, I sure would buy every paint version. :P and I'm not even a plane guy.

I'll believe it when I see it, but don't think I am not ready to say I told you so. :P

Good Recon btw Mark. If they are in country I'm bit surprised we haven't seen a production model, not even on Area 21.

Shoot, I can't even locate a desert Stuka, let alone an Avenger. I already have my preorder, and that's good enough for me.

Well, for now at least. 8)

This could be one of those "freak" early releases - like when I found the BH Corsairs and tropical Stuka at Wal Mart in January, long before they showed up at other Wal Marts. In that case, however, we had already seen production models of both repaints.

Unless there are more confirmed sightings (and especially sightings closer to my AO) I won't go wasting gas looking for Avengers at Wal Mart. I have my preorder, so one is eventually guaranteed

Local wal-mart(bremerton WA)Had nothing new at all. Asked about getting any new planes was told until the old stock goes away that no new ones will be ordered as they are sold as an assortment. So as far as the computer is concerned is that there are TEN"assorted" aircraft sitting on the shelf. To bad they are all the red nosed 109's  I thought about putting all ten on lay away then in a month or so cancelling it  But I do not want to take the chance of loosing my lay away privileges with them.

I doubt they sent just two Avengers from China....I'd hate to think that they will sit in the back various WM for a while like the Stuka and Corsairs seem to have...who knows with 21C, WM and the Avenger - all 3 puzzles in and of themselves. :P

Hope that manager wasn't bsing...not funny if so..

Definately no Avengers here, hehehe.. Latest recon at the Camden WM reports 2x German F-104's, 3x 109G (Seeman), and a smattering of inconsequential vehicles, Marines and Imperial Japanese. That's it.

Went back and put one of the red nosed 109's on lay-away. Maybe that will be the catalyst to get the rest to move. WHAT? I can dream you know :?
