Downscaling Great Toys

Post by Threetoughtrucks » Thu Apr 20, 2006 10:04 am

We have discussed the problems with bringing some of the great 1/32 tanks and planes up into 1/18.

Major problem being errors in 1/32 are magnified in bringing that same model into 1/18.

Is it time we suggest, again, to 21C, that if they downscale a couple of the hugely popular toys in 1/6 down to 1/18, we can practically guarantee a sell out.

I'm talking about, of course, the M5 Stuart, the White Scout Car and the recent Kettergrad with trailer.

Who wouldn't like to see either, or all, of these guys in 1/18? Huh, who?

If its 1/18th scale and rolls on the ground, I will buy it. Bring it on!

Sounds like an excellent idea. I've got plenty of paint just begging to be slapped on new vehicles. :D

Besides, it's been often noted that downscaling was easier then upscaling.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

Down-scaling 1/6 to 1:18 ?

Post by MG-42 » Sun Apr 23, 2006 1:47 pm

I'm in. > ... I would like to see all these vehicles , > + more , besides the obvious , that's due out. = 8) >>>>> I'm sure 21st., realizes this. 1:18 will move , rather than the 1/6 stuff , only to go on clearance , just sitting on shelves , grabbing up precious 1:18 space.

First is my custom 21C 1/6 WSC turned into a Russian Lend Lease. Second is of course my standard 1/6 WSC.

Come on 21C, make this for all your Buds here. 8)
