BF-109G spotted

Post by acetow » Wed Dec 01, 2004 3:17 pm

Hey guys. I broke a track on my RC stuart tank so I thought I'd just go on into 21st headquarters and pick up a new one. It took some doing but I figured out where they were located and popped on in this morning. I dont think they appreciate visitors much so dont try this yourself. But when I was there I saw the new 109G up on the shelf and it was great looking. I was not able to get very close but the guy told me it should be out by the 15th.

Great story Ace! I'm sure if I were close to the HQ, I would be "breaking" stuff too to get in..... Nice try, ehehehehehe

I can't wait to see the plane in the stores. That will be one firm purchase!

Well Ski, given that you're the recon officer for this board, perhaps us other board members should pool money to fly you across the country, then you can infiltrate the 21st headquarters and "spill the beans," so to speak :P Hey, it could work, especially if you try to apply for a job there!

First I have to get the glasses and nose outfit. That should be enough to sneak me through! I wish I could take a look at what 21st has. Must be something to see!

I've been sworn to secrecy on the location ski but if you come out and we happen to be driving by the place I'll point it out. Oh also I saw the R/C Hummer and I heard one guy on the phone talking about a pak40 with 3 germans and 2 U.S. soldiers hope its for XD.

Now that would be something, a 1:18 Pak 40. That would be soooo slick!

A 1/18th Pak 40 would be very cool and might happen, it seems that 21st is going to come out with the Panzer IV. How good can this get?
Thanks 21st!

The Pak 40 was planned to have been released a couple of years ago but never did due to 21c's numerous problems back then. It would make sense if they dusted it off and released it now that things are going well for them again. Let's hope....

And they do a pak 40 then why not an 88mm Flak? :)

Once again a pre-order renegade. He must have one from some source since his rating is pretty good. It looks like our Gustav is in the pattern gentlemen (and lady). Good find. Too bad he doesn't have a good picture............

Hey I just got Dec's "Squadron" catolog, on the 3rd page on the top MPM/HPH 1/18 Scale 109G with markings for Erich Hartmann. Only $599 for those of you with some extra green. I went to the website and found this link http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=MPHPH002
It would be nice to find those decals someday. Makes me thankful for 21st and BBI. :)

$599.00 really puts it all in perspective doesn't it! Let me see I could buy about 15 planes for $599.00. Do you think there is any profit margin on that model? Or is the cost all tied up in the decals that will be applied after have built and painted it!
Well at least now I have a justification to my wife. Honey 40.00 is cheap I just saved $559.00. I think I have fallen for that one myself with shoe sales in the past. Sweetheart why did you need another pair of shoes.... "look at all the money I saved!" Well turn about is fair play.... I going shoping for XD!

Ok, I am ok now just a mild case of sticker shock!

Thats the beauty of XD (BBI as well) and the reason why I have gone crazy with this line and show no sign of wanting to quit. We get model quality pieces with lots of moving parts for a very darn good price. Even the $80 BBI F-18 and F-16 are a bang for the buck when you consider what professional models cost!

What a great idea--we send our own "secret agent" to spy on them!

ME-106G (S1) Avaliable at BCA!!!

Post by tmanthegreat » Tue Dec 07, 2004 3:41 pm

I just saw on the BCA website that the ME-109Gs have arrived and that preorders are shipping! 21st threw a nice curveball and they came early!

I haven't preordered one, but plan to pick one up at my local Hobbytown when I go home for winter break. That store should be getting them about now as well. First, however, for those that have ordered this plane and will get them in the next few days, I'm curious to hear reviews. As always, hopefully this will bode well for future releases!

You beat me to the punch. I spoke with Far Out Toys today and he said 21st had them in stock at their headquarters and he should have them by Thursday.
