For about $690 plus minimal shipping, this P-51 can be yours...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/357252462375?
The seller (maybe a forum member?) also has a bunch of BBI 1/18, go get 'em...

In the grand scheme of things, I don't think that his asking price is that high.
I unfortunately had to sell my years ago due to finances.
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

SOLD!
Yeah, agreed, pickel, the price was reasonable given its rarity...
Since I posted this the seller has added 2 Merit Dauntlesses (and some other cool stuff)...
Guess he'll be taking his sweetheart to Red Lobster this weekend...

Warbird Kid is right, it is a lot of money for plastic, however it’s all in the eye of the collector. A collector of fine art doesn’t look at a Picasso as canvas and paint, a car collector doesn’t look at an original 1964 AC Cobra as just a car made of metal, rubber and leather. It’s all in the eye of the collector. Anyone who is a collector for a long period of time has that one “Holy Grail” that is number one on their list, but they can’t justify the purchase, until they can….

yes but, many of the people who buy these things may not be aware of the quality level of the model they are buying. For example, people are paying well over 1000 for a JSI VF 84 Tomcat. Mine is a nice model but has several QC issues. A couple of small glue smudges, the VF-84 logo on one of the vertical tails is crooked, some paint overspray of the yellow on the other vertical tail etc. Nothing earth shattering but if i'd paid over a grand for it i'd be p'd. And that is on top of the goofy spots....lol.

Guys did you notice the lack of something on that plane.
NOSEART. That is not the Tender Terror 4 for Victory plane that was 21st Century Toys giveaway promotion back in the day. The Tender Terror came with nose art to the winners. This is just the shell or i guess leftovers maybe. These hit eBay about 15 years ago. I have photos, can't figure out how to post, the complete one. I sold mine with COA, a letter and i had the metal 190D plate. Mine went for 850 like end of 2024 on ebay.
