Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
Mid July, I would like to build one and make sure there are no little kinks. That way I can have an answer if someone has a question. I molded the rear windows in clear resin. The clearity was great but one of the windows has a little distortion I don't like. I spoke to soon when I said I was done with molds.

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
About ready for some color. I've got some sample decals coming. I'll have to see what those cost. Construction was about how I expected. Each fiberglass part is a little different, so areas needed some sanding to get parts to fit properly. Sand and fit process.
There will be postionalable flaps, ailerons, landing flaps, rudder, retractable skid, removable dolly and opening canopy. I'm feeling better about taking orders in August. Then on to the skyhawk.

Pizzaguy, that ME-163 is looking awesome! Light years ahead of the old crappy Skyworks kit. I’m planning to order one of these when you are ready

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
Got a little color on her this weekend.
Today I received the decals from Peddinghaus. They look Great. I think it is worth the cost to have the decals professionally printed. Hopefully I can get sometime this week to get them on.

Watch out during applying the decals. Last time I´ve used them on a Me109 I´ve got some problems because of breaking decals because of fragility of the very thin decals.
When they are on the model together with some softener they are looking brilliant.
Your KRAFTEI / KOMET looks very nice.

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
001 is complete. The decals worked great. I need to add a couple more. Next step to complete is the instructions and a parts count.
I've got the parts for 4 full kits. First part of September I could have 3-4 more kits ready.
I'm waiting on the decals to be printed and delivered from Germany.
Here's a break down on prices.
Inflight w/canopy and Cockpit= $265+sh
Full Kit Opening canopy, cockpit, bogey and retractable skid= $375+sh
No full builds, I'm itching to get started on the A4.
PM or Email me if you're interested or have questions. Nathanh915@gmail.com

That is a beautiful model. That would look awesome in anyone’s collection. Quite the talent you have there.
Here is a video of someone who made a real glider version. Pretty ingenious.

WOW A masterpiece!
That would be REALLY cool in 1/6 scale!

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
Thanks guys for the comments. I've probably over engineered the thing. I have ocd in that area. 3 of the 4 kits are spoken for.
The closing on my daughters house got moved up a week, so dad duties are kicking in. I should be back in about a week. I'm still working on finalizing the decals and instruction book anyway. That can be done in the evening. Sleep is overrated. I will still reply to all emails and PM's. Thanks

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
That is a fantastic model, Nathan
It looks so much better than the old Skyworks version and is hopefully an easier build... I had one of the Skyworks kits about 8-10 years ago and it was rather strange... Anyways, I just sent you a PM regarding a full build kit. If they’re all taken, will you be making more eventually?

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
With any luck the house remodel will wrap up next week and I can get back to the kits.
Ran into a snag with the decals. The printer has went MIA. They won't return emails so I am looking for another option. Unfortunate because their decals were very nice. I may have to send the decals out after the kits. Thanks for your patience.

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
Thanks, Pizzaguy! Please keep us posted and too bad on the decals...
There may be some other options, including custom sets that would at least have the national insignia and numbers, if not the smaller stencils. Since the ME-163 had a small airframe, it’s possible 1/32 or 1/24 scale decals might work and look OK.

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
Thank you for the compliments. Things are getting back to normal. Over the next week I will be getting kits arranged. I will let you know when they are available. First four kits are spoken for. Next four are around the corner.
Out of the blue today I received the decals I thought would never happen. Christmas miracles do happen.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: 1/18 Me163B-1
My Me163B-1 kit arrived yesterday afternoon, you guys are going to love it.
I worked to late to take any pictures of the kit but I want to say its professional.
Parts bags labeled, wings and fuselage wrapped in bubble and the instruction booklet
is in color! All packed in a box with packing peanuts, just outstanding!
I'll post more information tonight or tomorrow, Nathan Well Done!!!
