Will the World Ever see a Mi-24 Hind in 1/18th Scale ?
Re: How Much Are You Collectors Willing To Pay For A Hind ?
Sorry, I can't vote. Would surely say YES!!! but, honestly, I can't be sure to have the sufficent money at the right time. Uncertain what happens in 2 years, the reasonnable delay to make such a model. Last thoughts: 250 to 350 $, thats expensive, but what a very reasonnable price for a very unique built. Please, go on!

Re: How Much Are You Collectors Willing To Pay For A Hind ?
Hey Guys,
The $79.99 special Hind fusalage arrived today !!!
I was quick to open the box and did so as soon as I got it inside.
I open it up and to my dismay the kit is a vacuform kit .
It is well done and the guy made all the cuts and taped it together. That work alone was worth $79.
But..
It is a vacuum kit. That being said it is somewhat flimsy and I doubt that it something that I can work with.
If I could I would probably have to coat the inside with resin or maybe fiber glass in order for it to hold it's shape.
The detail on the out side is rudimentary. , very plain.
I am not sure if it is close to scale or not.
Once tapped together it is about as long as the Pavey.
Again I am not sure how long it should be.
It does look cool though and at $79 not very expensive.
But I am afraid I paid $79 for something that I can not use
When I get time ( yeah right )I can scrutinize it better and see if anything can be done with the shell.
Anybody know were I can get a good set of SCALE plans ?

I know it's a passed topic, but I wanted to share the pics I could make at the century anniversary of the Swiss Air Force (1914-2014) at Payerne AFB, with a lot of foreigners invited, like this Mil MI-24 Hind:

Man that would be cool to have parked out in the ole hanger bay.
And I will now answer the question at the start of this thread .
Yes .
But that is pretty much all I would like to say.
Because we were all ready to start the A-10 and a huge monkey wrench was thrown into the works and there seems like no way soon we can pull it out.

Hope is a good thing, maybe even the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.

They're paper models, can be printed in any scale, and the downloads are free
