Does the World Need a WW1 German A7V ?

Hey Guys,

I am bringing back my pet project the A7V .

I have been wanting this since I first got into 1/18th scale.

Does the world need it especially that the War To End All Wars has reached it's 100 year mark ?

Does anybody know how much the 1/16 resin kit sells for that is on the market ?

The only one in 1/16 I know of is made by my friend Christian and sells for €180 which is $240 US dollars plus shipping from Germany which will be another $20-$30.

Not to change the subject......but what ever happened to the others on the list?

Maus . Turret started.
Hetzer . Paper plans only.
Marder III. Paper plans only but I do have quite a few Pac-40s.

I still think the A7V would be cool, just wondered about the others.

Well I have made the most progress with the A7V.

Would rather have a British Male tank or a French Renault FT17. In WWI, the Allies were the side that invented the tank and pioneered armored warfare. In WWI the Germans tried unsuccessfully to play catch-up with the A7V.


(Yet in an unfortunate twist of fate, political and organisational pressures in the British and French military establishments during the inner-war period in the 1920s and 1930s, caused them to loose sight of many of the early gains they pioneered in armored warfare. The Germans were quick to learn from what the British and French had pioneered and transformed it into the Blitzkrieg style of warfare to later be used to such great success against the French and British...)

Not a lot of interest .

But I do have 4 years to make this project happen.

It will be done , there were only 20 of them made .

When I do make this project I would like to try and make all 20 versions for myself.

I guess that is a dream .

But who knows.

With my new found time ( although I am still busy looking after things )
