Help with parts to do an 1/18 ARADO 234

Post by PLASTICFANATIC » Thu Jul 03, 2014 6:25 am

Hi guys,

For a long time I have wanted a 1/18 scale ARADO 234....hoping that someone did it in this scale for a long time...but by the look of things...this may never happen.

So I decided to scrachtbuild my own, do any member here have a spare ME 262 (21st or Admiral models) wings with the engine nacelles laying around that are willing to sell?..I really do not want to pay an "arm and leg" for a minty/boxed model of the ME-262 just to cut it up for spare/conversion parts ...need this as a starting point to convert to the Ar-234 configuration.

Hey PLASTICFANTASTIC, good to hear from you!
I don't have any 262 parts but you might give Pickelhaube a try. He's done plenty of customs and my have
some spare parts, send him a PM.

Too bad you didn't bring this up first in early 2012 and then again in fall of the same year! That year, I had my original 21c ME-262 nightfighter take a plunge and get pretty badly beat up. Then, later in the year, an example I intended to be a replacement pretty much got run over by a truck when it was being mailed to me and was in even worse condition than my first. So I basically went through two trashed ME-262s before the third one came out just fine. They both went to other board members, one of whom was in fact Pickelhaube

Yes is sad that I did not pursuit this project sooner, now finding the donor pieces could be quite an expensive proposition!!!
