Wow, so we have S1, S2, and S3 109G's reported in the stores!! This just keeps getting better and better. Now if they would just show up here, I would be thrilled....... ;)

Local WM had S3? (tannish camo) marines, a few Sahara figs, RC M113 & Panzer, a few older Me-109s

There have no been no figs at any of the local WMs for awile, so it was nice to see them again!

San Antonio has the 1/6th scale hummers and a M-5s. They have the M-1Abrams, both remote control 1/18th scale tanks in both paint jobs, the 104 and the 2nd and 3rd 109Gs, as well as the 1/18th scale shermans, halftracks, and m-41s. More than our share of BOB and Japanese figures are also appearing.

Pleasanton, CA has 6 beautiful Me-109-G6 "Rednose".

Need to look on the top shelf in the bathroom/linen section though. :?

WALMART

The Super Walmart in Monroe N.Y. had the R/C Abrams and other 1/6 vehicles on top of the paper towel racks in the super market section.

The Wal-Mart off of Slaughter Lane in Austin, TX had both of the new paint scheme R/C tanks and plenty of the BOB figures. Also had a couple of FW 190s, Me 109s, and P-47s.

I have regular access to five walmarts near home and office; nothing new, some minor variations, I try a diff one and find a totally different selection... Today I found 7-8 each of the 1/32 africa and british troop boxes, 1 m-41 vietnam, 157 car and truck, desert hummer, 1/6 weapon blister packs, the bluffs kit,- none of these at the other walmarts i frequent. For its weight, the bluff kit is a good deal at 16.00. I GUESS THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON TO THE DISTRIBUTION AT WM, BUT THIS HAS BEEN SAID BEFORE. Ya never know-do ya..

I also tried a new Wal Mart today, braving less than 500 foot visibility in the central valley fog. It is located in the very small town of Dinuba, Ca which is about an hours drive to the south & east of where I live in Fresno and well out of the usual circut I run when checking these stores.

It just opened a couple of months ago and is the LARGEST Wal Mart store in the state of California. Given this distinction, I wanted to see what the XD situation was and I was rather surprised to find a great diversity of of products, which usually never happens between the four WMs I frequent in Fresno. It was fitting for the largest Wal Mart in California :D

1:6 Scale:
RC Hummer (2)
RC M1 Abrams (2)

1:18 Scale:
RC Panzer IV, S1 paintscheme (6)
RC M113, S1 (5)
RC M113, S2 NATO Cammo (1) 8)
"Eagleston" P-47D (4)
"Graf" ME-109G (4)
Sahara Figures (3) 8)
Mixture of S1 & S2 Marines

1:32 Scale & Smaller:
32x M-24 (4)
32x Jagdtiger (2)
32x "Yellow 7" ME-109E (2)
32x ME-262 "White 5" (1)

I picked up the Sahara figures and almost got the RC M113 in NATO cammo, but just couldn't justify it, having already made a big purchase earlier this week. Given the remote location, I won't visit this store very often, but it was worth the trip :)

a little something extra...

Post by mikeg » Fri Dec 16, 2005 12:05 pm

HOLY COW....I tried my luck again at the walmart i usually don't stop at and found 1 copy each of the air force 104, sahl 109g-6, and black p-40.
I already gave bca an extra 20.00 for my 104, but couldnt leave without the 109 (you can't have enough repaints of this-) to everyone one the left coast this is probably old news, but it was fairly exciting to me.

Visited several WM's today and all of them seem to have a good supply of the 1/6 tanks and vehicles. WM must've ordered these items by the shiploads.

I agree, I'm seeing these 1/6 M1s everywhere and in big quantities.
I'm curious to see what the fallout is when everyone starts bringing them back for a refund after Christmas.

I saw 8 RC Hummers (both desert and woodland cammo) at the end of an aisle in a Wal Mart that were stacked on top of one another nearly 8 ft. high! Kind of sobering - and dangerous!

some new stuff...

Post by mikeg » Sun Dec 18, 2005 2:51 pm

1/32nd british an africa troops, 5-6 boxes each at only 1 of 6 walmarts. old and new 1/32nd armor, including cold steel kits of old ones. Like other areas there is an overabundance of 1/6th stuarts (all schemes) hummers, and m1a1's. Also most walmarts have both colors of the rc panzer and m113. And the good stuff- a couple of each of the stahl and hackle 109s, three of the silver f-104s-one with the plastic already ripped off- it will probably stay there forever... 39.95 all...

Found an abundant supply of Hackl, Sahl, Sky Captain P-40, and silver F-104s at the WM at Westheimer and Kirkwood in west Houston. There were at least 3 of each. Also found both of the RC Panzer and M113 paint schemes. No figures and only one Command Car with 2 airborne figs.

Oh, for the love of Pete! I can't find a 104 anywhere in VA, and I'm already sick of looking. Teamski, let me know when they hit the mid-atlantic, would you?

Don't feel too bad, in my AO I haven't seen any of the newest items from 21st, including the repainted BOB figs, Sahl, Hack, and 104. :(

Someone stop me before I think about it too much and kill myself. Actually found a 104 at Super WM on South Pkwy in Huntsville.... and left it there. It was nice and it was tempting, but 1. I'm all about WW II and I've got to save my pennies for a Zero and Avenger and 2. I think I'd prefer the green paint scheme on the 104. Heck with the rest of the WMs in town, this one knows how to order stock!

Will do. I've already checked 3 times in the last 2 weeks with no results. If history is anything, they'll show! ;)
