Price on Flt 19 Avenger

Post by Threetoughtrucks » Fri Jun 07, 2013 3:19 pm

A question for you plane guys:

I have one of the Flt 19 Avenger to sell. I need the room. My question is this:

Is there a difference between the Flt 19 Avengers as far as price?

Mine is boxed up and I hate to unbox it just to check the number if there is no difference in price.

I've seen the FT-28 version (Lt. Taylor's plane) go the highest in recent months, probably on account of that being the flight leader's aircraft. It actually does not come with an alien figure like all the rest did. FT-36 (Captain Powers plane) also seems to command a higher price. The other aircraft, FT-3, FT-81, and FT-117 usually go for lower prices.

In terms of price, it really depends on who is selling them and where you're finding them. I went to check eBay after reading your post and there was currently only one Flight 19 Avenger listed at around $219. The particular seller that has it usually has high prices, though. I bought a MIB FT-81 plane off a board member for $150 a few months ago - at that time, there were more Flight 19 planes on eBay most in the $170s.

Hope that gives some clarity :D

Can I assume the numbers are the tail numbers?

I have the complete squadron boxed. Willing to sell if the price is reasonable. Shipping all five may be a bit costly though. Having to part with vast collection as I am now dealing with Prostate Cancer, Thanks to Agent Orange in Nam.

JOC:
Sorry to hear about your cancer. Chances of Prostate Cancer are always there, but exposure to Agent Orange seems to magnify the chances and severity of Prostate Cancer.

The VA now considers all who served in VN as being subjected to the after effects of Agent Orange.

I have been declared 60% disabled by the VA for my exposure to Agent Orange as the cause of my health problems. Not as ultra serious as Prostate Cancer, but what is? For me it gives me a very nice tax free pension and pays 100% for my expensive drugs. For me, life got easier.

How about that, here I hijacked my own thread...... that has got to be a record.

Very sorry to hear that, JOC.

On a positive note, prostate cancer seems to be one of the more treatable cancers, especially these days, so lets hope you have a good prognosis.

Keep your chin up.
