Wow, that is cool. Not 1,000 worth of cool. If it was less, I would buy it and recast that sucker!!

I'm planning to build one. It should be around $300.

I’ll undercut you right now. I’ll be selling mine for $298 and it will be made out of a real stone and mortar mix! It will weigh around 50 lbs and cost $200 to ship

OK,
I am in the business of stone. I can make a real bridge using stone of your choice.
$1,000 pick up only. I would it would weigh about 100 or so pounds..
All that aside this is crazy man.
If it would have sold on the shelves for $20 or so I would pass on it.

I wish some one who can cast this would buy it and sell copies to us.I would the first in line to buy one.
The only problem i see is that it will take a lot of resin and resin is expensive.
Also by looking at it,the molds will be huge.

That thing in resin would not be cheap, not by a longshot.
That tank made my heart sink.

The molds would be big.......but the bridge could be cast in foam, similar to the Lamax display bases....

Pickelhaube, you up to it?????? I think I'm going to run for cover.
I think its doable, but a $1000.00.
Re: 1/18 european bridge prototype for sale on E bay (not mi
That wouldn't be terribly difficult to sculpt/carve your own out of foam.

That foam material seems to be a good alternative to resin,at least on a diorama item such as this bridge. It will also help reduce the cost of shipping because of the weight savings.
The other issue is the price the seller is asking. For less than that i am sure some of our members can make something very similar. However i like the idea of owning a replica of something our beloved 21st century toys was going to produce for our 1/18 scale armor.
This bridge and the big building will be something that we may never had, unless someone recast them.

I would certainly buy the bridge and government building if they were at a realistic price. They are both great pieces.
Re: 1/18 european bridge prototype for sale on E bay (not mi
The auction has ended,no one bid. I am thinking that if he was really interested in selling it,he would have start the auction for less.
Re: 1/18 european bridge prototype for sale on E bay (not mi
he will relist at a lower price. he was testing the waters hopefully getting somebody to bite on the high price. I noticed many listings are ending with no bids. Right now prices have levelled off or gone down.

This guy keeps his auction for a couple of days and if he gets no suckers...er bidders he quickly lowers his price to more reasonable prices.
He is still in the stratosphere with the proto bridge.
He is down to $275 for his firing 1/6 anti tank gun, droped twice from his original asking price.
The bridge will come down.
