Hey, I'd love to do a 1:18 Vietnam era US firebase. I'm still new to 1:18 and from what I've seen, there aren't really any Vietnam era items other than small stuff like ammo boxes, 55 gallon drums, barbed wire, etc.
Can anyone guide me to a brand name (so far I only know of Build-A-Rama with VN era items) or if I should be hunting for train diorama or just try my best to use WWII items? Thanks for any help you may provide

Power Team figure sets have some pretty good items...you may have to do some repainting but at least they got some really good items..for example a watch tower....
hope this helps.

Ok, now I'm hunting for artillery. I've spent days searching around and can't find any 1:18 scale US artillery and its driving me nuts. Anyone know of any 1:18 arty? Even if its PTE or lesser quality, as long as it looks like US artillery. make me mad that 21c has german but not allied 1:18 artillery. Thanks

pte make a howitzer, gi joe had a 75mm howitzer (try ebay)in 3 3/4" scale and there is an out of scale mim 23 for gijoe called the mms, the mobile missile system. lanard had a katyusha launcher of sorts (more like the actual pod from a bm 21, but on a stand) and there are various gi joe and 120mm scale mortars (verlinden for example) around.. there is also the towed maxson mount from 21st century toys...and bbi have support weapons sets (mk19..not vietnam vintage, stingers and such like) and pte has LAWs..
chap mei has a version of this vehicle out;

Zhukov, which artillery piece could be hanging at the line under my UH-60 blackhawk, I mean to create a good illusion without any heavy customwork?
