Yes, they are the same for all intents and purposes. Let's put that to rest....

Aside, did you say RC Tiger? Don't tease me like that if it was really the Panzer IV.

1/18 RC panzers and M-113 in Atlanta at walmart; a box of new 1/32 plane repaints-took the british p40, dortenman fw190, and grey 5 me-262.
went back today to reconsider p-47 nose art, orly me109, and p-51.. they were gone--- ya snooz, ya looze.....black 1/18 109s out the wazoo and battered fw-190s still to be found. ARE WE TO SEE ANY F-104s, NEW ME-109 REPAINTS OR ANY OTHER SURPRISES ANYTIME SOON? And corsairs keep appearing in groups of two and dissapearing at local TRUs

Had a chance to check out the rc Panzer and M113 at a WM in Syracuse (by Bridge Street) today. Sure that I don't want the rc M113 (I already have one desert and two OD static versions), and not sure if I want the MKIV. Looked closely at three of them - is it me or does the paint look thin and poorly applied? Or am I being too picky? A lot of you really seem to like this tank.

here's a surprise- at least down here- A box of 1/18 p-47s; eileens and eaglestons in the blue ultimate soldier boxes, I haven't seen any walmart p-47s since the last round of red motorworks boxes quite a while ago. only one of the walmarts has em so far.

Looking at mine and taking your POV into mind, it could be said that the tank was poorly painted - or simply heavily weathered. The wheels on my tank are whitish, but I am nonetheless pleased with the paintjob on mine. The rest looks fine to me, and I'm glad 21c/NMT made it in a scheme different than the S1 Panzer IV! Oh, and having a good RC tank in 1:18 is alot of fun and worth the purchase as well :)

Well, I returned mine (Panzer) for several reasons. First it had a broken drivers hatch, second when it was put in reverse it made a grinding noise and would move a couple of inches and stop then move again after playing with controls, turning right and left then forward, then it was a 50/50 shot it would go into reverse. Also you could stand right over it and it would not move acting like the signal was being blocked (yes it had new batteries). The paint was very thin in spots also, could see the light blue color in spots and what was with that upside down peace symbol on it. The box showed it in a upright position. Was this marking legit for the Panzer? I have the 1/6 Stuart and have had no problems with it as for 1/18 scale not very pleased with it, must have got a lemon.

Saw three RC M1 Abrams at a Wal Mart in south Fresno, today. The tank looked pretty good (from what I could see on the top shelf), though I won't fork over the money due to the size as well as the QC issues. The same store had 3 RC hummers and 3 each of the 1:18 RC Panzers and M113s.

One of the WM's here got 4 of the M-1's It's really sad to see such a cool looking tank knowing that it is going to break, straight from of the box..... Sad...... :(

wm distribution complaint #613...

i hit up a couple of wms this weekend that previously had been barren of 1:18 planes. on this visit the shelves were stuffed with planes. upon closer inspection, i found that they were all night fighter 109s!

nothing against the plane, but does a single wm really need or expect to sell 10 night fighters? is anyone else seeing a night fighter influx?

looks like the black 109 just replaced the fw in my area at least. imo, u.s. planes would sell a lot better, or even a mixture of u.s. and german stuff would suffice. anything but the same exact plane stacked to the ceiling.

on a brighter note, i did find a few die cast tigers and shermans for a wallet-friendly 5 bucks a pop! needless to say my trunk was full. now if i could just find a couple of m-80s...

Gustav ~ Were these the 1:18 Tigers and Shermans in the Motorworks boxes? If so, that really sucks because my local Walmart has like 8 of each, but they are still priced at $40 each. I don't understand why they haven't been clearanced. They have about a foot of dust on them and have been on the top shelf for well over a year. But on a brighter note, XD figures have 3 pegs in the toy aisle. I managed to put all the remaining figures onto one peg. Hopefully they will see this and restock. :D

This is kinda ironic since a few short months ago the night fighters were going for over $100 each on evilbay with "SOLD OUT NEVER TO BE AVAILABLE AGAIN!" in every auction.

I was at the Massapqua walmart near me and saw 4 1/9th Abrams,6 1/6th Hummers. In 1/18th R/C... 2 M 113s and 5 Panzer IVs. I picked up one of the Panzers. It looks good sounds good but on occasion going forward or backward the drive sprockets bind up and make a grinding sound. If you hold the tank in your hand the tracks work fine, on the ground its a different story. I'm going to take it apart and see if it can be fixed. :?
I don't think I'll be giving these as gifts this Christmas.... my nephew and Godson would have loved this tank. Its all about Quality Control.
One other thing, on the box the words "WWII German Tank" were covered with a sticker the same color and pattern as the rest of the box. Think someone's worried about the PC Police? I'd be worried about QC Police... the folks that buy the stuff.

Normandy,

I've had the same problem with the Panzer. Check some of the posts for suggestions some of the guys have had. Haven't had a chance to try them, just played with the tank and lived with occasional stops.
