Re: Your Favorite 1:18th?
I'll agree this is a different thread topic... similar, but different to the "Best 1:18 ever made" thread.
Anyways, my favorite is a tough call as there is a lot to choose from. I've grouped it by category:
Aircraft: BBI Corsair.
Just one that was done right, IMHO. Close contenders are the 21c F-104, BBI Bf-109G, 21c F-86 & Mig-15, 21c P-38, and I could go on...
Armor: 21c Tiger.
I know its got accuracy issues, but the interior and detail win out. Second favorite is the 21c M-41. The 21c Bradley, 21c halftracks, Panther, and Panzer IV are also favorites.
Vehicle: 21c MB Jeep.
An oldie but a goodie. Kubelwagen would be second, followed by the WC-51. I also really like my Pickelhaube SDK-251 armored car and my Pickelhaube Zundapp motorcycle.
Artillery: 21c Pak-40.
This is one they just did right from the start. Good detail, functionality, and a great couple of paint schemes. It looks awesome on the SDK-251 halftrack as well.

My favorite is the F-18C Honert BBI ELITE FORCE GOLDEN DRAGON, I have two one is in my home and one at my mom when I visit her in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
Re: Your Favorite 1:18th?
For me: the Blackhawk. Have 2 + 1 pave hawk. Very good possibilities to custom, make different sling loads, and overall very impressive. Hope to finish one or the other customs to show how versatile it is.

Always good to hear from collectors in other parts of the world, and there are not many from South America at all.
And have to agree with you on the BBI F-18, with my TKO custom CF-18, being my favourite 1/18 model that I own. Although the BBI F-16 is as much a favourite as the F-18. Just love these very impressive jets.
Runner up would be BBI F-4U Corsair.

My Favourite 1:18 are my Jnewboy customs. They are fantastically done and are unique.
Of my factory items my NKK Spitfire is my favourite.

Re: Your Favorite 1:18th?
Vehicle: European Exclusive Panzer IV "Yellow 124". The Camo is okay but the complete Schurzen (Sp?.) does it for me rather than turret and empty rails on 21st's other releases.
Aircraft: Admiral Me-262 "White 8". A slick 1/18 model with good build quality and paint application. None of 21st's aircraft quality control issues. Plus it represents the first operational Jet fighter ever.
Figures: D-Day Wehrmacht Dual-pack. One of the last releases for 21st and I think they got it right. Good blend of articulation and realism with semi-accurate Camo uniforms. I have multiples of these guys.

Re: Your Favorite 1:18th?
As an aviation collector i own allmost one item of each plane / helicopter in 1/18. ( Only one is missing the stuka ju87)
My favorite is also the F-18 golden dragon ( weathering & durability of plastics + overall aspect+ WOW fator)
my seconds are F86 + mig 15 ( i can explain but theses looks & feel 50's !) , i wish to have the Su27 & mig 29 to have the same kind of display with the modern jets
But all the others are cool too :
- Spitfire : very good looking
- P 51 All of them ! : very nice (it was my first and i get hooked ! )
- Hellcat and Avenger : cool with wing folded
- P38 lightning : size !!!!! ( - toyish look)
- Helicopter : my favorite is the camo COBRA ( i've changed the pilots with some apaches crew, now it loks uber cool )
The less cool are the BBI corsair ( mine is less crisp than the 21st CT one) and the F-16 because the size is not correct (but it's still a super nice display)
ONE stand alone : the F 14 because of its size and nice colors ! ( but i had a skyworks repaint and must find some pilots) so it's 50/50
it's hard to choose because evrything is interesting

I really like the 21st Panzer IV...I just wish it had a Normandy pattern.
I looked at the trap, Ray.

Re: Your Favorite 1:18th?
I find it funny how a plane like the 21C Avenger made it on both the "worst" and "best" list And I actually agree with the points by both - it gives me some sympathy for the manufacturers who must look at us and be more than a bit confused!
So I'll offer up another one of the same type - JSI Black Knights F-14. I think it was the most ambitious 1:18 project ever by a major manufacturer to actually come to fruition, and I think they got A LOT right. It also fixed the most obvious problems of the original "spotcat".
For ground vehicles, the original 21C US halftrack packed an amazing amount of working features in such a small package, and at an earlier time in 1:18. I can't hink of a 1:18 item that I got more "bang for my buck" from.
