Yeah I looked at that...the only difference I could tell was the stickers vs decals...but I didnt know if they changed anything else in the 3 different boxes I have seen them in...I figured some experts in here would have some knowledge about it...and thanks Normandy...I checked that out already...but the pics look the same only the headline gives any info...

I believe the pilot in the earlier release had a different jacket than the Flying Tiger box. As far as the planes I am not sure

You won't find any difference between the planes: the Motorworks version, the blue-boxed version, or the 2007-08 special edition version. Same tooling, same paint scheme and all missing the Chinese Nationalist insignia.

The Motorworks-boxed aircraft and I believe the early 21c blue-box versions included stickers for the wings, not water-slide decals. 21c later changed over to decals for the Special-Edition-Boxed plane. The Motorworks boxed aircraft for certain had the stickers, but I can't remember if they changed to decals for the Blue-boxed version or not... It gets confusing, especially with the development of the aftermarket decals.

The major difference between the early and later P-40 releases is the pilot figure. The early Motorworks and blue-box aircraft had a unique "P-40" style pilot figure. This was painted with accurate AVG patches on the jacket. The P-40 pilot was also available with the RAF P-40 (figure also dressed in AVG uniform) and with the Langley Field P-40, repainted in appropriate squadron attire. Later P-40s like the Sky Captain, Pear Harbor, and Flying Tiger Special Edition planes had the standard P-38/P-47 pilot figure.
