Custom service lotto?

Post by flyboy_fx » Tue Sep 13, 2011 2:19 pm

Just wondering if there would be interest in a lottery for custom work?

I would chose 1 or 2 paint schemes for 3-4 aircraft and if you have one of those and you win then I would paint it for you. Winner supplies the aircraft. I will post examples of what each scheme will look like and what planes they are for so you see what you're getting.

Tickets at $3 for 1, $5 for 2, $7 for 3, $9 for 4, and $11 for 5.

Winner would pay exact shipping though. My zip is 28792. I do not have a lot of money usually so trades are ruff for me. I would be looking to at least make the money back in supplies even if I paint it for basically free. If there is enough tickets sold then I would cover return shipping.

Would there be any interest? It would just be a nice, clean and tidy paint job. Like my Werra Bf109.
The scheme chosen would not be something real elaborate where decals would be needed. Just something that I can spray numbers on and ect...

Like this.
Numbers are not outlined, simple to spray. A tidy camouflage with no weathering, just shading. No Unit markings that would require special decals. Will leave the swastika off if requested, otherwise it will be there.

I was thinking about it, let me know! If no interest we can just let this thread fall to the depths of the forum.

Original idea!
But if I buy an airplane (mainly in the USA), pay 50 $ to bring it in Europe, than 50 $ shipping it again to the USA for an even nice paint job, than one more time 50$ to bring it back in Europe... :(
If you plan to make hollydays in Switzerland, we could organize anough rainy days so you'd have to stay in a hotel, I'll bring you the paintings you need...

Sorry flyboy, but your lottery idea is a bad one.

Better to just make your services available for those that are interested in customs.

Pick a plane that you would be willing to do, and see if there is interest. Or have people suggest schemes they would like to you.

Just be sure that you are able to produce a good product, that people will be satisfied with.
