can someone date a couple of figures for me US Cavalry

about what time period would you say these two figures are from? I believe they are earlier than the US Cival War, i'm thinking they are around early 1800's?

Both are Civil War. At the very least, the style of hat and uniform give it away + what looks to be a spencer carbine or sharps rifle on the one figure.
