I am interested, but would not be able to do much with a "kit"

Need to have the model as a finished product.

I will do this mod kit but definitely after the first of the year.
It looks like next year's is starting to get booked up

Although I may not be interested in doing a full build I think I would be able to graft the mod onto the 51's fuselage.

I enjoy doing full builds but the way things are going I just do not have the time.

But who knows after the first of the year ?

pickelhaube,

Do you plan on doing a simple conversion (Cockpit halves and canopy) or are you going to include the machine gun conversion and tail piece?

I was planing on the canopy and turtle deck up to the rudder.Cutting on the panel lines and removing that area from the donor plane and simply drop mine in. Vacuform canopy as well.

The mg conversion you are talking about , the ones located on the leading edge of the wing or cowling /

I think also it had a different prop. The same 3 blade as the P-40 if I am not mistaken.

The A model had the 3 blade prop. The B had 4 blades but they were of the thinner type . A thinner nose profile with large top air scoop.

The P-51B and C models have four .50 cal machine guns in the wings, where the P-51D has six. The B, C and D all have four blade props.

The A-36 attack version also had the Allison engine with the 3 blade prop.

It all sounds great to me. If you do the attack version I will buy two of the B/C versions and one of the attack, possibly two. Know I can't wait for the first of the year.

The attack version has the air intake on top of the engine cowl just like the P-40. That would mean a whole new fuselage or some custom work. I don't think that Pickle was looking to do that.

I would like to see one though. May be worth trying for I have enough extras........
