are there any guns from GI Joe that look like the twin bofors that were mounted on US ships during the war? I know there was a 1/6 set, but wondering if anything close to 1/18 was ever made?

A twin 40mm on a M41 Walker Bulldog chassis would be nice. That would be a M-42 but that was made from 52-59. We used them extensively, mostly in base security, in Vietnam.
In late WW2, a twin 40mm was put on a M-24 Chaffee (which we sadly do not have in 1/18). Now that would be nice.

The closest thing I can think of are some of the lazer turrets that came on the Defiant crawler set - they at least have the twin barrels. However, then you are talking about something that is far underscale and has only the one seat positioned to the rear of the gun.
