thoughts on Corsairs?

Post by iballdriver » Sat Jan 22, 2011 10:18 am

So lately, I have been reading about the Chosin Reservoir campaign. Getting sucked up into the topic is more accurate. Corsairs off the Lyete helped contribute to the success of the breakout. Thus my latest obsession. I have the 21C Kepford Corsair ( whistling death...love it) but have been contemplating another purchase. JSI? nah. not after the spotcat debacle. 21C Lucybelle? hm. interesting. marine's dream. thought about it, until read that it was a show plane paint scheme. Daisy June? not sure. Checkerboarder? undecided. marine? possible, i think. i saw a 21C "412" Korea variant. on ebay for 189.00. not at that pricing point.
So that's where i am at. consider it open ended. as though we are grilling dogs and burgers on a grill and quenching our thirst with a cold frosty adult beverage.
Thanks! while you are at it, hand me some wood chips over there for the grill....

There's a nicely priced Korean one right here on the board....
Better hop on it while you can.

Also, I thought the JSI repaint of Boyington's Corsair was really good. It did not have the "spot cat" issue with the paint.

Didn't the Corsairs used in Korea have a 4-blade prop? I know 21st never did one with 4-blades but the Navy 412 is a nice bird to have.
