a weapon pack would be awesome : the load is exactly what i am looking for my BBI HORNET : one pod + one sparrow missile for the "air intake" pylon + GBU 24 for change of the plain dumb bombs....
I've tried the sparrow missile from my jolly roger Tomcat and it's a perfect fit ...
can't wait ...

I have one F-14 that required my skills to fix its s****y paintjob. I won't be buying another.
Wake me when something exciting actually happens in 1/18th.

The silence from Merit is deafening
They could/should address or comment on these issues mentioned here and defend themselves? They and JSI may have burned many bridges with the S1 and with the surprise "improved" Black Knights seems to be mooning you on the far bank to add insult to injury.
So who is brave enough here to order one?

I am still convinced that the nose wheel is out of scale on their F-14. It looks too small and detracts from the model. Can someone do some research on this? I will also try. Perhaps Skyworks can come up with a nose wheel replacement (more added cost), but I would buy it. I have also considered creating my own scale up using appropriate looking tires ( similar diameter, shape, tread, and width) off a toy car, which also matches up by luck on the wheel rims from both the toy car and the F-14 (outer part of the toy car rim and inner full rim of F-14). It looks like a seamless fit, but will have to see how it turns out. Perhaps the combined wheel rim will look out of scale despite the tire being the right size. It will take some work.
