Prince of Persia Dio Piece on Clearence

Post by Fritzkrieg » Sun Jul 11, 2010 5:47 am

I picked up the "Prince of Persia" Gate playset, for $9 and change at Target, a great dio piece for a modern combat scene in Iraq. Now, I need to pick up a set of Ourwar figs

Been scoping it myself. It is just under $9 at TRU right now so I'm going to pull the trigger. Would love to see it with some modern troops.

It's a really great piece, but, like a sucker, I paid full price for mine.

If I can find another for under $10, I'll probably get a second....

My Target had zero, but the TRU had some for 10.00 and some change.
Can someone post pics of what this looks like out of the box with some 1/18 figs next to it?

The Prince of Persia figs are 3.73 @ TRU until the end of the week.
Some looked like they could blend with the Eastern warriors and the IJ scimitar wielding figs.

Man, that toy line bombed like Michael Richards at the Apollo.
I looked at the trap, Ray.

They released only 3 characters. I don't think anyone had high hopes for the line. That said, some of the items were impressive.

Here are some pics I took of the gate and the horse.

(I removed the base/floor for the second gate pic, I think it works better without it. I also removed the silly "action features" off the top.)

Yeah, now I'm sorta tempted. :(

I wasn't going to bother, but with modern figures, DAK, or IJ, it's really a neat piece.

Now Hasbro, make us some Head Sculpt & Endor Uniform variations! The new Rebel Fleet Trooper gets the JJ Seal of Approval Though!

I picked up one @ TRU for 10.00.
I was impressed with the real look of the stone when I took it out of the box. It came with a prince action figure with VERY COOL swords. Too bad they don't have Aladdin action figures in 1/18 scale - this Prince of Persia figs would look good in Agrabah.
I would like to see some talented builder add a broken wall to this gate. I could see a nice Afrika Korps stand off.
If you can find this piece, you should get it. It would look good with US Army or Marines in modern Iraq, or WWII Germans in the desert.
