that's nowhere near 1/18. Probably 1/32. In 1/18 a Typhoon would be over 31 feet long.

it might not be 1/18th but it still would make a hell of a conversation peice! I wonder where do these things go when the movie is done filming? They probably sit in a warehouse till they make a B movie. Like Blue Thunder, I've seen it in a couple of tv shows. Wish I knew someone on the inside.

Back in the 1980s, I remember seeing a 1/72 model of the USS Nimitz. The guy would open the center of the flight deck, sit inside, and when it was in the water he could drive it around, work the elevators, move aircraft around the flight deck, etc.

i saw on the internet a while back a guy who scratch built a 1/72 nimitz. A static model, not r/c. It didn't float or anything but had a full interior, all hangers etc. Took him 19 years to make it. Astounding.

That is actually the USS Enterprise, and I believe it is now housed in the Smithsonian Air & Space museum via donation from the builder.
