Heinkel He 115 - Anyone make or see this plane in 1/18?
I saw a History Channel show on WWII German airplanes and they talked about much the Germans used this plane.
I think the design is very interesting.
Anyone ever see this in 1/18 scale or did anyone make a custom version of this plane?
Anyone ever see one of these planes in person?

I would love to see this made sometime but I would rather see a Heinkel 111 first or a JU-88 in 1/18th
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

are you on crack? We don't even have a hurricane or fw 190a and you're wondering if there's a heinkel 115?

Actually there's an r/c kit of one that's about 1/15 but that's the closest there is.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Best in diecast is 1/144 I believe.

You would have to be very optimistic to even hope for a 1/72 version.

I KNOW there is nothing in close to 1/18 scale for this plane, I really wanted to know if anyone had ever tried to create one on their own (AKA- Pickelhaube project).
Or for that matter, any kind of float plane, German, USA or Japanese.

....those are some sweet fighters. 8)

As far as I know the HE-115 was released in 1:72 model kits. Quite a bit smaller than 1:18.
http://www.swannysmodels.com/He115.html

Revell has the JU-88 in 1:32, is going to release the HE-111, and the Arado 196 floatplane in that scale so they are getting bigger at least. So they might choose to do a 1:32 HE-115 as they seem to be liking the German aircraft lately.

Chances of getting any bombers or twin engine aircraft any bigger than 1:32 are pretty slim.

Oh, I think he meant at a reasonable, affordable price.
