Man, we need another Huey...

Post by LIVEVIL » Fri Apr 16, 2010 4:30 pm

No, I'm not talking about another release of the UH-1C Huey chopper that 21st Century gave us, we neeed the troop carrier, particularly the UH-1D. That is the one we so badly need. I've dreamt about having this Huey in 1:18 scale for years. Unimax made this one for their 1:48 scale line that comes out in June which looks pretty good but what would be the chance to make one in 1:18?

agreed, that would be awesome!

For those who have 21C's Huey, is it worth the money?

For 200 dollars on Ebay? Fuck no

For 50-70 bucks when/if JSI re-relesases it? Hell yeah

Agreed. A D model Huey is undoubtedly needed in 1/18. After all, the slicks were the most numerous of the hueys, and we need something for our gunships to support. I know Pickle talked of making one, but I haven't heard if he will get to it..

I think we're eventually going to get a Huey from JSI.

What I really would like is a CH-47 Chinook in 1:18. It would be huge.

Awesome thread :P

a Chinook would be cool, indeed. Even though I would prefer a Huey repaint for $ 60-70

Back in May of last year I was getting geard up to do the stretch version. But the Hueys are hard to come by and the idea got kind of shelved.

There was a lot of talk about JSI coming out with a repaint. So the idea is shelved until they go ahead with the repaint.

I did got a couple of Hueys with an intent of doing the custom. Graciasly donated by Bird Dog and T-rex 7.

They are waiting for JSI to release the repaint. I am sure by this time they both have stopped holding thier breath.

Here is the thread.

I really hope that JSI

a)will release their Huey repaint
and
b) NOT screw up the whole model with a faulty paint job again!

But honestly, I'm quite confident that they have learned from the mistakes they made on Spotcat.
We have some really neat Lightnings, Corsairs and Stukas around, wearing beautiful paint jobs with nice weathering.
Even though they were released before the F-14.
We still need more new 1/18 aircraft!
