aferg, got a CG-4A glider question

Post by gunslinger » Wed Aug 10, 2005 2:51 pm

aferg,

I just wanted to know if you can check my work on this.
I'm starting to build a waco cg-4a glider and wanted to make sure the diminsions are right.
1/1 1/18
length 48' 4'' 32 1/2"
wingspan 83' 8'' 55 3/4''

a friend at work blew up the plans and it looks about right.
he took the dims x .o555 and that gave him 1/18 scale, I checked it on Galland's 109 and it worked good.

did'nt you buy a rc/ c-47 awhile back, hows that work'in out?

your calculations look right...should be a great project. Good luck. How do you plan to make it?

I was going to start my C-47 in the late fall. I have some other projects i want to do first... :)

Its going to be made of balsa and monokote covering just like most of the r/c kit planes. I'll be sure to post some pics later on when I get some progress done. blueprints look really cool, should be a fairly easy project.
