Admiral Toys F-86 Sabre

Post by fightin » Fri Dec 25, 2009 12:12 am

Hi!

I'm the new guy, I just wanted to say hello!

I am mainly collecting 1/18th mililtary aircraft and I'm thinking of expanding my collection.

I'd like to have the Admiral Toys F-86 Sabre "Jolley Rogers" in addition to my MiG-15bis. But I'm not sure about the quality of the Sabre.

Does anyone own this model and tell me if it's worth the money?

Thanks,

fightin

Depends on how many clams youre shelling out. I have it and I think it's a great model, I paid around 30 bucks for it and I dont regret it. If it's a bird that you really want then any reasonable price is good.

That is a bit too much to pay for the Sabre. I got one about a month ago on Evil Bay for about $40.00. With a little patience they come around at a better price. Great model but not at that price.

WOW...my good eye almost popped out when I saw how much it was! Yeah, in this game a little patience goes a long way.

The thing is that I live in Austria, Europe. And the shipping rates from the US are horrible. USPS Priority is about $ 50-60.

The Sabre I want is from Germany and includes shipping to Austria. You should know that these models are VERY expensive round here.

Sven

I picked one up here locally at a hobby shop for $65. Its a nice looking model but alot of the moving parts were very loose.

One thing I really liked about it was the packaging it came in, thta what caught my eye.
