Looks like some very dark spotted weathering there!

Corey the foamies i've purchased do have panel lines and are nicely detailed, really. Some of them are close to model quality in detailing, although not in paint apps. But they are decently painted and come with excellent decals. The worst feature about them is the foamie texture but from 5 feet away that disappears. The spots on the Tomcat won't. They are also about 2/3 the cost of the JSI Tomcat. Cockpit detail is negligable but that's never worried me as i like my aircraft flying anyway.
At this point i am going to get a foamie Tomcat as opposed to the JSI one, unless early reviews of it show that the spots are not as bad as they look in every picture i've seen. I'll wait for a repaint of the JSI that presumabley won't have spots. And if there is no repaint, i'll be quite happy with the foamie, i know.
For those that don't mind the spots, then the JSI is the way to go. I don't like them and i don't like being called a 'whiner' for voicing a very ligitimate complaint about a major gaff. I'm not complaining that the u/c is too thick or the rear canopy isn't quite the right shape.....that's whining.
Comlaining that there are big splotches painted all over it is not whining.

Andy:
The foamies are much the same as this situation, some are good and some are bad. I remember back in the day when Granddad and I built the r/c stuff from balsa, LOL. Now everything is this prebuilt foam stuff. I don't like it. LOL I don't like it because I have fond memories of building those planes with my grandfather and putting them together. The foamies have their pros and cons. I'm not totally against them, but at the same time, it's just put some rubber bands on and go flying. Something is lost in that I think.
At least for flying them anyway.
Corey

I have a preorder and I am content to wait for it. I was in on the Kawai F14 last Dec for 300 bones and was happy as a pig in schizer with that situation. The situation now is much better than last year and hopefully everyone will get theirs by Xmas, I on the other hand will have to wait till April to see mine.
Option H: I'm waiting for it to go on clearanceTa-152 wrote:Option G: I don't have it preordered, have no intention of buying it. I have no problem with the plane, just not interested. Bring on the next vehicle!
Option I: I'm a patient lucky gambler, I'll wait for Kamikaze's contest
You know, this could be the ultimate retribution for all the comments made on Jnewboy a.k.a WW2 German Spotcat
