Jesse,
Typical run times can be up to 30 minutes depending on how good a battery pack you got in there. The standard 2000mah pack will last upwards of 30 minutes, depending whether you're running the smoke unit or not.

The supplied wall charger will charge the pack in rough 4 1/2 hours. I have an aftermarket peak charger that will charge it in 30 min.

Good thing about the Heng Long tanks is that there are a TON of parts for them, both stock replacement and aftermarket.

Here's my current Heng Long Tiger I that is being painted in Kursk colors. Photos are as of tonight.

Really? 30 minutes? That's a lot of run time... and an aftermarket charger in only 30 minutes too? Man, where were these when I was into RC trucks as a kid!? :)

I like that. I was hoping for, at best, 15 minutes and 5 hours charging.

Just got an email from coloradominiatures.com about the missing arm. He said "we'll see what we can do"

Keeping my fingers crossed.

RC COmmand seems to really have hit a rough patch. I was just reading a thread on them, and I guess they're not real reliable right now. That's disappointing as they're the only ones with a decent deal on the P3 I see (upgraded gears/smoke & sound $93). I'm really hesitant to order anything though as they're receiving a ton of bad press lately from everyone.

Jesse,
I ordered my tank from Bill at rccommand and got it within a week. This was less than one month ago. My Tiger is a S&S with metal gears and 2000mah pack. My ISP was blocking his email, that's why I couldn't get anything about order confirmation. I sent him an email via my US Army AKO account and all was well as he responded within 2 hours.

This is just a link to the exact thread... I don't doubt you at all NW, but that thread's really making me feel sketchy about ordering from them. That's where I think I'd prefer ordering because the P3 comes with S&S, upgraded gears (I guess?), and an upgraded battery it says, and so I'm more inclined to go that route.

I don't know them as I've never ordered anything from them, so by no means is my post meant as a negative against them. I don't have the right to claim that, but a lot of folks seem to have problems with them lately. :? I hope maybe after the holidays I'll place an order and see... I'm definitely not ordering a more expensive tank though, just to test the waters with them first.

I'd order from RC Tank Wars first but I don't believe he even has a P3 available, nor one with the upgraded gear box and S&S, etc.

Yeah its really sad. I could understand orders being backordered, but I don't like the cat-and-mouse games they're playing with people's money lately. :?

BTW, Mato has the Panzer III (Tauch, L, or H versions) that has the Smoke and Sounds and steel gears in stock for $90

I'd say get a matorro king tiger, paint it up right and you have an incredible display piece. And i've had no issues with the plastic tracks/gears. I don't worry about the scale issue since it was such a big tank anyways

Is there a general ballpark on shipping from Matorro? They seemed to be pricey from what I recall reading at some point, coming from Canada.

I'm all for ordering from them actually other than that shipping punching me in the nuts.

Matorro are bringing out a Jagdtiger, there's a sneak pic in the members only area of the RC Tank HQ site for anyone that's interested.

Thanks GD, I appreciate that.

I don't know. After Christmas is wrapped up I may not care about the shipping so much. Just getting one would be nice here right now but I'm going to have to wait.

If anyone is interested in a Stug or Jagdpanther, this price is hard to beat. Before ordering you can check to see what shipping is to your zip. Shipping to Texas was $13. $103 which includes shipping is very hard to beat. Just hit Order Now and then check what shipping is at the bottom of the page.

Where have you seen the R/C Half track for sale?

Other than the Tank zone UK site?
