On the m60A1 the primary difference is the glacis plate and elongated front fenders on the chassis. The turret is completely different though.

The headlights would be different too.

Phil, do you know the story behind that M48? It looks typical US Army issue except for the W. German smoke launchers on the turret and crewman with the black beret. Thanks for the great photo.

It also has the m60 lights. Is it an A5?

As far as I know, it's in Germany. The guy is a german tank driver and the tank is part of a lot that has been given to german armored force.
