I've seen the Pavehawk and Blackhawk at my local (Orange County, CA) stores. They don't have any at the moment (all they have is blackhawks), but I've seen them ever so often.

I have yet to find any 1:18 military on clearance, but I did pick up an "Incredible Hulk" transformation chamber set. The "chamber" and Hulk stuff was just for the junk box, but the figure was a totally articulated, normally-proportioned (1:18) civilian wearing a long sleeve shirt and dress slacks with shoes. Has elbow, knee, wrist, neck, waist, ball-joint shoulders, ball joint hips. I don't have any use for it now, but for $3 I couldn't go wrong. Would have picked up two if they had another.

Went to my local TRU tonight and found the BBi marines. Picked up a couple of them. It seems that TRU is doing a much better job keeping the BBi figures in stock.

Also, in case anyone is intersted, they had the GI Joe Ninja six-pack. Can't wait to get mine from Amazon.

Parrish:

I would be snapping up what I could if I were you. With bbi entering the vehicle market, those buildings might come in handy!

If someone can pick up a command car for me at 50% or more off, I'd REALLY appreciate it.

May I also put a name in with the gang to ANYONE who can get a Patton Command Car and/or Winter Jeep for clearance? I'd really appreciate it since my Patton's are bored and sick of walking, and my jeep Drivers haven't had a thing to drive yet. :)

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Well, one can hope I guess...

What can we expect at TRU?

Post by jhogan » Sat Nov 06, 2004 6:51 am

I've seen some posts indicating the BBi F-18 is showing up in some TRU's. Nothing new here in Peoria. Can we expect BBI to release all their jets and the P-51 to TRU stores? Timeframe? Thanks.

70% off? Not in KY yet! Normandy House @ 70% off, please!

Post by Razor17019 » Sat Nov 06, 2004 9:17 am

I checked out my local TRU and they are still at 50%.

Parrish- You must of lucked out with 70% at your local TRU.
Did you happen to ask them if this is just in their store or nationwide??
Did you happen to pick up any of the items you listed in your post?
I could use a couple of the Normandy houses at that price.
Let me know.

Regarding 70% off XD items...

Post by parrish333 » Sat Nov 06, 2004 11:20 am

To all those who e-mailed me or posted about xd items 70% off at my local TRU:

I'll be hitting the same TRU tomorrow after church (as the wife peruses the Babies 'r us across the street - it's kind of a sweet deal we have worked out!). I'll nab whatever's left of the patton command cars, winter jeeps, and farmhouses. They may be gone by then (especially at those prices!), but I'll keep hoping on your behalf! I have a pretty limited budget, but one of these days I guess I should just snatch deals like this up figuring somebody on the board will want them (I had to dissappoint another board member when my local WM marked the diecast winter tigers back up to $40 after being at $15!).

Also, yes, I did pick up a few items when I was first there, two farmhouses and a jeep. Very pleased with all!

Parrish333,
Grab what your budget and wife will allow-
We all know what that like.
I am sure you won't get stuck with anything you don't want!
Post a list when you get back tomorrow.
We really appreciate you effort on this.
Thanks!

(the word for tomorrow is CHARGE IT! and farmhouses...)

Question on board private message features...

Post by parrish333 » Mon Nov 08, 2004 4:04 pm

Perhaps a dumb question, but I can't tell the difference between the 'Sent Box' and the 'Out Box' in the message feature of the board.

Help anyone?

Parrrish,
The outbox should be mail that has not yet been sent.
Sentbox is already sent.

Anybody else wanna add their 2 cents?
P-51??

that's correct.

outobox=mail that is going to be sent

sent box = copies of mail that has been sent.

And just a tip... you can actually edit your PM to someone as long as it is in the outbox.

News from Toys R Us off the 91 on Yorba Linda (Orange County)... NOTHING. AT all. No blackhawks, no hornets, nothing.

Not much here in Central Texas TRU's. BBi figures only-mostly older ones at that.

If anyone is interested. My TRU as three bbi M1s for half off of $40. That is about it. They still have bbi Black Hawks, Apaches, Little Birds, and Humvees, but all full price. Seen figures from time to time. They had three of the bbi pilots at one time. As well as 21st C Bulldogs at full price. If anyone needs anything drop me a PM and I'll get back with them. Thanks

I just got back from a business trip to Travis AFB. While I was there I did a TRU recon of the Fairfield TRU. Believe it or not, they still have 4 S1 XD Walker Bulldogs at full price! I wish they were on sale, I would of grabbed a couple. NO bbi on sale whatsoever..........

CHECK YOUR LOCAL TOYS R US

They have been marking things down SO fast that often time they don't have time to put the green stickers on everything... I got the BBi Abrams tank for $21.60!!! It wasn't marked with any green sticker, and the little tag on the shelf had the full price on it. MAKE SURE you scan it! You may find a nice $19.99 surprise!
