Dunno. First I saw of it was in the pics here. Looks like they get nicer figures as well.

how can we get the chinese version?
If you're willing to pay shipping overseas, there was an etailer in Britain that was offering the Z-9 with rockets. Not sure it had the Chinese soldiers but it has the rockets.
Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:

F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

I've got one with weapons, but not the chinese troops, cost me only $NZ8 .
I do like the Chinese figures though, might see if I can get some through a friend in China.

This is definately good custom fodder I wish I had the talent to turn it into a coast guard dauphin. As far as the other items go, there were no IFV's but there was a command center, the bombed out building, a watch tower and several humvee variants. There are even single packs of horses, camels and battlefield accessories. I like the Humvees but they seem a little small
Big pass for me, then.

No worries though, leaves cash for the FoV Tiger.

What about the troop compartment? Does that at least open? It might still be worth it to me if I can get a few airborne troops in there.

The troop compartment does open, and it is larger than it looks. overall I see this vehicle as a cheap command chopper. I just wish it had some more details to it. It needs a tail number or unit patch, something, it looks very plain.

I got lucky and found the new PTE Dauphin Helicopter today. Even sans rockets, it is quite a nice helicopter and actually a step up in improvement from their blackhawk. Almost on par with early BBI releases like the Littlebird. I like the fact that it has a complete interior and glazed windows. I also caved in and got the bombed out building, which is also awesome.

As I checked out, I had to give the clerks the rundown about why a guy dressed in business attire was buying a bunch of toys for himself during his lunch hour :P

Bridge is the same one they've had out for some time now. Very nice piece and our only real bridge in 1:18.

I found some chinese troops on ebay, search "puzzle animation 1/18"
from HK seller 7toys7, or type item number 350270276949,
reasonable price n combined shipping

Has 4 variants of troops, troop+horse, troop+bike, troop+campfire, troop+building section+oil drum, troop+building section+tools

I was hoping from the large building set but no luck yet

Does anyone know if the gear retract on this or are they permanently deployed (I'm guessing they are always out).
