News Flash: So the Cat has the new FOV Tiger in...

Post by c44 » Wed Oct 21, 2009 2:08 pm

...as well as the Sherman & the re-released figs...big question about the re-releases---can't tell from the pix---is there a difference in shading (or any other discernible difference) that might make those of us who already have these figures wanna acquire some more? OK, who wants to take one for the team....? :D

I'd like to know that myself. The skin tones on the figures just got worse and worse. the last ones had that radiation burn victim look.

From what I can see they look like the same figures that were at Target. I was hoping they were new sculpts. Well glad there still available.

They are the same which is very frustrating, but cool for people who want to army build or missed them. Unless bbi pulls something out of their hat new figures look like a real pipedream these days..

I think unimax likes the modern stuff more, they made alot more modern figures.

I think they have them severely overpriced. I wonder if they will show up at Toys R Us, the Sherman already has.

Actually a set of figures for what they want isn't horrid. FOV's figs came with a lot of extras. I'd say $6+ isn't horrible, it's just not nice like it used to be at $4.99.

The tank, I personally feel isn't worth $50... I have a FOV Sherman, and it's nice, but I paid significantly less at Target, and it's worth significantly less than $50...

I like my 21st Century Toys tanks too, but I wouldn't have paid over say $70 for any one of them, including the Tiger-I in steel, which I think is the pinnacle of the 1:18 armor.

Some disagree, but unless they have individual linked tracks, and interiors, I really don't see the $100 pricetag for 21st's stuff, and I don't see $50 for FOV at all. Other than having Zimmerit, it's a lesser piece in terms of quality, compared to 21st's, and so I don't see it at all.

Seeing the FOV Tiger again brings on the temptation, but then I have to watch myself. I paid $30 for one at Target back in 2007, but then sold it. It is a good looking tank with the zimermitt and all, but also lacks a lot. The tools are molded on, only two hatches open, the engine screens are filled in. The Bravo Team Tiger (and Sherman for that matter) do not compare with their 21c counterparts. If I see the Tiger at TRU, I may reconsider it, but the online price is more than I'm willing to pay for it. I'd rather get the JSI Tiger tank.

I agree with you folks about the $50 price tag for the FOV tiger. I got several of them when they were clearanced at Target and that was about all I was willing to shell out for them.

Really good price at $30 for the FOV tiger at SJ. My only concern is that it still indicates as a pre-order.

Got mine last night from BadCat.

Total price to me: $55.33.

Tigers aren't gonna be easily found for many of us at retail stores and I think it is worth $50.

Tomorrow I'll compare it with my JSI Tiger, but I am pleased with the FoV Tiger and BadCat's service.
