Bravo Team Paratrooper Question

Post by gk5717 » Tue Sep 15, 2009 7:17 am

Does the chute attached to the front of the trooper come off?

I just picked one of these up yesterday to attempt to use them for a custom job, for which they did not work as well as I had hoped...

Anyways, the pack & reserve chute do come off. You will have to remove the figure's leg section, but those just pop out and the pack comes off.

If the legs are a little stiff, soak the figure in hot water for a minute or two to soften it up and they will come out easily.

After grabbing a few of the new FOV guys (I like the Seals in boarding gear), I have to say that the articulation is as low as I'm willing to go. After seeing what bbi has done at times, and what Hasbro has done with the new Joes, I think FOV better not regress in this area..

I thought they were pretty decent. I miss the better "trigger hand" sculpts though.

Those last modern BBI figures had cuts made to the wrists of a few of them, and that disappointed me a lot. :?

Now Hasbro, make us some Head Sculpt & Endor Uniform variations! The new Rebel Fleet Trooper gets the JJ Seal of Approval Though!

I agree with Jesse in that the articulation on the Unimax Bravo Team figures is not bad. Some could sit a little better and the hand grips could certainly be better, but I am not complaining about them too much.

The BBI soldiers are still the best, hands down, but apart from the Marine figure pictured by Digger, and their two modern paratrooper figures, BBI has not standard modern troops unless one customizes their own, like what Digger did above. Further, their troops sport cammo designs that have largely been phased out of the Army and USMC.

That is where I love the Bravo Team figures. Their first wave was all standard modern US Army and USMC figures in current uniforms - and they even included much-needed tank crew figures. The new special ops figures are quite nice as well, save for the aforementioned complaints above.

Unimax is likely to go even cheaper with their offerings, but at least for now their Modern and WWII figures are of good quality

I have to echo previous comments. I picked up about 12 ranger paratroopers for a squad reinforced with a MG squad team. They are good. The hands could be a bit better and wish they had an ankle articulation.

The paint jobs are great. I picked up the three color desert guys (doing an early afghan campaign)

Along with 8 deltas in the 3 color desert and 6 navy seals in the Olive drab jumpsuit--these figures are nice.

I picked up some BBI figs (I especially like the night ops delta operater danny lynch figure --got 12 of them!) The Danny lynch articulation is outstanding.

I think the FOV bravo team figs fill a nice spot in the modern offerings out there.
