New FOV affordable, 'pseudo-military' series

Post by VMF115 » Thu Jul 23, 2009 3:14 pm

Unimax Toys' has a new series coming out

The program is called FEARLESS FORCES---and it's Unimax Toys' answer to an affordable, 'pseudo-military'
1:18 action figure aprogram, along the lines of Lanard's THE CORPS and CHAP MEI TOYS figures and
vehicle playsets you see sold at Toys R Us under their TRUE HEROES brand.

While the program is a 'value priced' one, we are working to develop a cast of memorable characters
and a fun storyline which can be promoted through successive waves of products. The 'story' of the FEARLESS
FORCES will be told through new figures and playsets children will enjoy---and that serious 1:18 collectors and
customizers may appreciate as well.

Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

not worthless but worth less without pictures.

and speaking of chap mei....i've notice a big increase on the number of chap mei products on ebay, including some of the new stuff. No military yet but i'm taking this as a good sign that they are finally cracking into the north american market in a bigger way, which is something they said they were going to attempt in '09.

Here you go guys:
http://toyfair09.figures.com/showgallery.php?cat=751

Fearless Force was announced back in February at the ToyFair 09, this toyline is technically Sci-Fi through.

Here's a brief article:

Hope that helps.

FEARLESS FORCES

Post by toysoldier1 » Thu Jul 23, 2009 5:07 pm

Unimx Toys is creating a website to introduce this new line to
consumers, which will launch in early August along with the toys.

This is a 'Value' program which should appeal to young action figure fans who will be able to afford alot of FEARLESS FORCES product for a little money...and the collector or customizer looking for something new with which to 'fill out' their G.I. JOE collections, etc. Great for custom projects, as they feature strong detailing and articulation for the money---and their parts can easily be interchanged and disassembled.

www.forcesofvalor.com is under construction---but look for a 'live' site
complete with pictures and other information in the next couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, we hope you are enjoying BRAVO TEAM's new S.O.F. Elite Series and our new 1:32 scale figure pack offerings which are available now. Thank you all for your kind support!

I wish Unimax would have stuck with the modern and WW2 stuff. I felt like both of those lines were incomplete somehow.

Looks like they are moving on to something totally diffrent now. Say good bye to Unimax

i can't imagine the fearless forces line is designed to replace the wwii and modern lines.....those lines may be ending, i don't know but fearless forces is hardly a replacement. It's something fairly new and different.

With the popularity of bravo team 1/18 i can't imagine why they'd discontinue it.

This does sound interesting and the terms affordable, value, and parts easily interchanged and disassembled. There may be potential down the road that this might carry over into the existing figure lines like Ages of Action and FOV WWII and Modern.
I don't think this is a replacement either... but rather an expansion of the possibilities of this scale. 8)

Welcome aboard Mr. Gatdula! Good to have you here at last, looking forward to any and all news you have for whatever that Unimax is pumping out!

I agree, the Fearless Forces line is most likely how the Ages of Action line was created, separate lines for separate themes/eras.
Ages of Action = Ancient past warriors.
Bravo Team = Realistic present military of WWII to Modern.
Fearless Forces = Sci-Fi Soldiers.
IIRC, Unimax had expressed interest in wanting the AoA line available at Target stores too, so if anything, Fearless Forces is hope to be sold alongside with Bravo Team. 8)

I'm all ears... Poseability, new sculpts, aimed at customizers and kids... I've got no gripes, especially without actually seeing anything of it all yet. It's a tad premature for doom and gloom.

And as others mentioned, I didn't see/read anything about their Bravo Team figures ending. They're just trying to capitalize on the popularity of GI Joe and the people who will buy just about anything to customize in that hobby, which is pretty large and growing still.

Seems fairly intelligent to me.

I'm anxious how well the sculpts and articulation are going to be done. I'm a big Star Wars customizer more than anything, actually, so I'm looking at these beyond their intended audience as well.

I'm sure other Star Wars customizers (and there's a LOT) are interested in these too, when more is shown. You may (or may not) find that interesting Mr. Gatdula.

I know I personally am geeked for anything new in the scale. If articulation is on-par with the Bravo Team stuff, and equally easy to disassemble, that's a major plus.

Oh, and tell me you're doing more World War 2 stuff because I'm starved for new figures here. :)

Hate to burst anyone's bubbles about this line but I saw these today at Target and they are not good. Sorry no pics, I didn't know about this topic. I had no idea they were made by Unimax. They look like dollar store knockoffs. They are worse than Corps! figures. I saw single figures for $1.99 and the 4 per card figures but I forget the price.

Articulation-wise they appeared to have jointed knees and elbows with possibly swivel arms at the biceps. Again, I only looked briefly cause they were of no interest to me.

FEARLESS FORCES

Post by toysoldier1 » Mon Jul 27, 2009 3:12 pm

To answer your concerns---this line is intended to be seperate from our BRAVO TEAM and AGES OF ACTION 1:18 programs---not in any way is FEARLESS FORCES a replacement for either.

The figures feature an articulation model akin to what you've seen with Lanard, with each individual soldier accessorized with a weapon, and multi-packs of soldiers sold with multiple weapons and accessories.

FEARLESS FORCES has been released to a small number of TARGET's newest stores, and will be making their way into all of their locations by the early weeks of August.

Again, this is a value priced program designed to appeal to a mass market consumer for whom cost and value are very important considerations during these difficult times. We hope that for those not able to afford figures from more expensive lines, FEARLESS FORCES provides a fun, inexpensive alternative.

Thank you for the ear and support---

FORCES OF VALOR Small Scale Tanks & Planes at TARGET

Post by toysoldier1 » Mon Jul 27, 2009 3:32 pm

For those of you that like our 1:32 and 1:72 scale FOV and BRAVO TEAM items, look for FOV Mini-Die Cast tanks and planes---which are rolling into TARGET's toy offerings now. These don't subscribe to a particular scale---just 'small', detailed and fun to collect!

Sound off and let us know how you like these...

Best Regards,

L. Gatdula
