Scored a "Mitch's Squitch!"

Post by ExC17load » Fri Jul 10, 2009 11:28 am

Found a 'Squitch' new in box in the local hobby shop. Paid 49.99 for it. Not too bad considering. Thankfully the wife saw the deal for what it is. Now if I can just get her to stop calling them my "stupid airplanes." Silly wives, they will never understand!!
"I can stop collecting 1:18 scale anytime, really I can. OOoh, the new Stuka re-paint! I don't have that one.

Great find. My local hobby shop has some 1/18 scale airplanes, but they are priced at the regular retail price.

You will never change your wife, it is a losing battle. I have learned that anything I do that does not bring in money or complete projects around the house is considered stupid by my Wife. However, she did let me go crazy on the Monkey Depot sale so she isn't all bad. :D

I bought her a new Mini Van. That worked for a while. I have a Mustang and she thinks they aren't very practical. Pfffttt....Whatever

Something about two kids not fitting very well in back, and not having enough room, blah, blah, blah.

I like my car but I want an AWD V8 Magnum. Still fast, and it works well in the winter. Oh, and the kids fit in the back seat.

I have both Mitch and Huff, and actually like the Mitch paint scheme a lot more. I'd guess I'm in the minority (probably by far) on that.

Might pick up a second Mitch at some point (they can found without too much difficulty, at least online).

Gotta love the 21C F-86. Definitely one of their better efforts.

"Mitch's Squitch" was the first 21 F-86 I owned. It is a good, standard scheme with an interesting history behind its pilot. I was not impressed with "The Huff" at first, but then saw one in person at Wal Mart and after passing by them for a couple weeks, gave in. That plane has some of the best nose art on any 21c plane.

I do agree that the F-86 is one of 21c's best efforts; that and the Mig-15.

I agree both the mig and sabre are some of 21st finest aircraft. Its sad to think of all that could be from them with each release getting better and better. Congrats on the buy, you got a great jet for a good price in MOP. If only they could have released the Mig Mad Mavis.
